I stayed here for one night in June and was given a room on the fourth floor. It is a basic but adequate hotel for my needs. The room was ok, good size but the bed had no bedside tables? The ensuite was rather small and there was no hairdryer either.
I went for breakfast the next morning, wakened by the cleaning staff chatting loudly. It was buffet style, hot breakfast and/or continental style breakfast and plenty of choice for such a large restaurant.
There appeared to be some members of staff working much harder than others, Lydie in particular, and also trying to keep an eye on other reluctant older workers.
All in all, not bad for the price I paid, considering it is in London

About 10 mins walk from King's Cross station and 25 minutes walk from Camden town. Nice comfy bed, good nights sleep and reasonable all you can eat breakfast.
Hotel is nothing fancy, but good value for London.

We stayed twice recently in heavily discounted advance booking non-refundable rooms. Popular hotel because of it being just a ten minute walk from Kings Cross and St Pancras. Clean refurbished rooms with very comfy beds. Family rooms spacious and slept three adults and a child easily. Bathrooms very compact and only one tiny shampoo phial provided so make sure you take your own soap and shampoo.

We arrived early but couldn't check in early unless we paid an extra £10 so we sat in the restaurant area for forty minutes. Were originally allocated rooms on different floors for our first stay with five people but when questioned the receptionist managed to move us onto the same floor close together. Vast hotel but rooms at back have less traffic noise. Free wifi for half an hour then charged after that.

On leaving we asked to store our bags so we could explore Portobello Road market unencumbered before catching the train to Paris. Well worth the £10 per room charge compared with charges elsewhere but not if you have paid the full Travelodge room rate. We didn't take breakfast since we had vegetarians for whom the choices were limited and you get better value elsewhere nearby but menu prices for fast food type meals looked reasonable and alcohol prices good value.

Staff were pleasant and the place was clean. Because of its popularity though lifts are always busy so you may have to wait a while if you have luggage.

Room Tip: Higher up is less noise from hostel dwellers and night revellers at nearby pubs. Rooms at the back a...

under £60 for a double room - we were on Eurostar early the next morning so wanted to stay in town. Plus points; location, the beds are comfortable and the house wine in the bar excellent for the price. Negative points; the room was really badly designed - no bedside tables so no where for phone/water and the TV was broken. for an overnight stay, great value - expect a clean and comfy bed - and as we were at the back, it was surprisingly quiet too!

Room Tip: ask for a room at the back

Stayed here with friends on a short break to London. The location is good, only 5-8 minutes or so from Kings Cross/St Pancras.
No complaints about the room, quite a good size for a London hotel, beds very comfy and room clean.
My main gripe is that we arrived before the check in time and was asked to pay £10 per room for early check in. I asked if we could just leave our luggage till later and was asked to pay £10 per room for that too!!
Not many hotels charge you to check in early, or indeed leave your luggage for an hour or so.
We did not make use of the breakfast room, we chose to eat at one of the many cafes in the vicinity which are cheaper. We made use of the bar which was OK but service a little slow.
Overall fairly good value for money as we booked early so only paid about £60 per room per night which is good for London, if you book early enough you can get it even cheaper but don't try to check in early as you will be charged !

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the rear of the hotel to avoid traffic noise at the front, it's on a busy road

I'm a frequent user of the Travelodge chain and have appreciated their efforts to upgrade their hotels. The Kings Cross one, however, is not one of their best. My main concern was the room which had a double bed squeezed in to it so that access was only available from one side. The air conditioning had been disconnected 'for the safety of the guests' which I interpreted as 'to save money' and in recompompence, a small, noisy fan was provided. Sleeping with the window open is obviously not an option in Central London.

On the plus side, the breakfast was of good quality although various items (for example, eggs, croissants) ran out for several minutes until the staff got around to replacing them.

was a little concerned by some of the reviews but found
a). Extremely Helpful Staff
b). very clean hotel and room
c). We asked for air con room and got one
d). extremely comfortable bed with 4 pillows
e). was on the front and triple glazing super effective
f). small room but had everything in it in good condition
g) . we are 2 women and we walked back from KC after midnight all the nights of our stay and never felt threatened
We have realistic expectations of a Travelodge and therefore more than happy x

Room Tip: Ask the staff politely, we found air conditioning, help with parking, walking map and a great lunch...
