“TLC”

Hotel needs some TLC and more staff to undertake this and improve the quality of stay. Staff were obviously over-stretched, but were pleasant/helpful despite this. Hotel was in a excellent position. Rooms need a hairdryer.

We stayed here for two nights in august 2014. The hotel is dirty dated dingy and depressing. We often stay in travelodges within London. This is by far the worse. The paint is peeling, the doors to some rooms had an inch gap where they have dropped. My husband got three bites we assume from fleas whilst in the room. Everytime you flushed the toilet in the room water poured over the floor which appeared to be gushing out from behind the tiles. The bathroom was dirty mouldy and generally vile. The breakfast I wouldnt serve to a dog, the coffee tasted of sour milk, there was sporadic bacon, burnt sausages and tinned fruit.a waitress was told the juice machine wasnt giving out juice she attempted to change the juice carton but couldn't unhook it from inside so mumbled then threw the new carton back into a cupboard. The staff look tired and their uniforms were faded creased and grubby and generally they looked unhappy. Would never stay here again. I wouldnt recommend it to anyone. If I could define a fleapit of a hotel this would be it.

Convenient for public transport. Noisy throughout. Re modernising needed throughout hotel . Only new bed and flat TV. Few channels. Shody maintainance .After 4 days room not hoovered and bed still not changed. State of bathroom unsafe and very tiny. No water pressure in shower. No extractor fan. Unsuitable for more than one night stay.

After reading the reviews we weren't expecting much but we were pleasantly surprised. This is a standard Travelodge hotel (I've stayed in plenty!). Clean, basic but with room to hang your clothes, a TV and tea/coffee. A good range of facilities available 24/7 (hot drinks, vending machines, bar etc.), pleasant and professional staff, and a 5 minute walk from Kings Cross. For what we paid for a weekend in August I don't see how you can complain about that! In my opinion, you know what you get with Travelodge. It's not pretending to be something it's not and this suited us fine.

Hotel was booked by my company for an overnight stay after flying in to Heathrow. Was a short walk from kings cross (about 6 minutes) ready to catch an early train the next day.
Room was clean, comfortable and even had working AC.
Staff could not have been more helpful. Breakfast was busy but the crew worked really hard to make sure that everything went smoothly.
Oh and the bed was one of the most comfortable that I have slept in.
Will definitely use again.

We were on floor 5. Room freshly painted but very basic...not even provided with bedside tables. Bathroom ancient with v noisy plumbing. Noisy in corridor from 730 as cleaners did rounds. Travelodge will not care as this is central London.

Booked in advance to get a cheap deal and having read the reviews wasn't expecting very much but to be fair didn't need much. Arrived before check in time an reception was very busy. Debated with receptionist for a while about paying extra to check bags in etc and at first wasn't very happy but things changed very quickly. After asking for a quiet room Geraldine the receptionist suggested we book one of the Millenium Rooms , quiet part of the hotel and with air conditioning. The room was what you would expect but made so much better because of the air conditioning. The following day we were looking at a map in reception and two staff members came to ask if we needed help and one suggested a walk along Regents Canal to Camden Lock. That level of consideration sets this hotel as a very good option for anyone considering a stay in London. Only a five minute walk from Kings X but set apart from the hustle and bustle of the are. Facilities were very good although I can't comment on food as we ate out every day. Really enjoyed staying here and will look to return next time we visit London.

Room Tip: Go for the Millennium Rooms - they are off the main corridor and down a small flight of stairs but a...
