I had my wedding reception here on 6 September 2013. It was Baskervilles' first wedding and Diane, Mathilde and the girls did us proud.

The wedding had a vintage theme so the tea shop was perfect for an afternoon tea reception. The sandwiches, scones and cakes were all fantastic but the show stopper of the afternoon was the sausage rolls. I am not sure if these are on the daily menu but they darn well should be! They decorated the shop beautifully and all our guests were enchanted.

We also visit here for lunch quite often and love the atmosphere. All the cakes and bread are freshly baked, the cheese selection is fantastic and if mushroom soup is the soup of the day I recommend you have it! The tea menu is extensive to say the least and they have their own blends. The children's menu is also very good and try the hot chocolate with Maltesers!

The shop is very popular with locals and they also have various events happening during the week, e.g. sewing classes, mother and toddler groups, etc. so you may have to wait for a seat. The girls do their very best to serve you as quickly as they can but a little patience may be required at busy times of the day.

Went to Baserville's for the first time, having moved to the area recently & read so many good things. We sat there for 10 minutes - we were studiously ignored so walked out. No one tried to stop us or seemed concerned....

Great quality, good value lunch served by charming staff. So nice that after a couple more hours in the park we came back for tea and cake. Worth seeking out! The ploughmans was especially good, and the almond and orange cake is to die for.

The bacon sandwiches were superb and the poached eggs done to perfection. Friendly staff and we were lucky enough to get a table straight away.
There were more tables through the back and it is available for functions too.

Palmers Green is very lucky to have such a lovely tea shop. We are regulars and have eaten, breakfast, lunch and tea here. The cakes , speciality teas and breads are delicious. We ate supper there yesterday, prior to a special event and it was lovely, a spicy chilli with salad, flatbread and dip. We also had a slice of cake each and we decided to eat half of each other's as we couldn't decide which one to eat, they were both lovely.
