“Perfect stay - I want to live in Highbury”
Reviewed 17 August 2015 for a stay in June 2015

From the first enquiry Ian was so helpful & fantastic to communicate with. Location is fantastic - many buses within footsteps of place and tube a nice walk through Highbury Fields. Highbury Barn has some really great places to eat. We tried the fish n chippy (has byo - super kid friendly or take to Highbury Fields as we did on a sunny London summer night!). We had dinner at Iznik - Turkish - Yum and nice cozy atmosphere. There is Italian with great outdoor area and Highbury Barn pub has a great menu and seating outdoors. Highbury Fields even has a little cheap takeaway cafe for parents - coffee, breakfast, snacks.

Accom was lovely, clean and great to have the extra space. Very secure and everything a family could want. I would highly recommend this place to everyone looking for a self catering stay in London - away from the touristy areas but a quick bus to tube ride to everything!

Thanks Ian for such a great stay. Hope to be back!

“A Great Stay”
Reviewed 31 July 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Our family of 5 (with adult children) stayed a week at Fichi and it was a perfect base for us to explore London. The initial communication with Ian was easy and pleasant. He came across as an honest, sincere and helpful guy, promptly answering our many questions.
The property was in a safe, lovely and quiet neighbourbood, just a tube stop away from King's Cross & St Pancras Station. Getting to the other tourist attractions in Zone 1 & 2 was easy. The walk to either Arsenal Station or Highbury & Islington station was slightly more than 10 mins but we made use of the bus (just a few mins away ) to get us to the station. On our last day with our luggage, we used the Arsenal Station to get to St Pancreas as it was a quieter station .There were also a few supermarkets (Tesco & Waitrose) around which were convenient for us get stuff to cook some of our meals.
Warren, the manager in charge who showed us to the apartment was also as nice, pleasant & helpful.
The apartment itself was well furnished, stylish, comfortable with everything you would need. Only comment was that with 5 adults, we found the space a little tight ( understandable in central London) and it was challenging to find space to open our luggage especially when we had to convert the sofa to a bed in the living room. But we worked around it and must also mention that the sofa bed was perfectly comfortable.
Overall, we had a great stay in this apartment and it deserved the 5 star and we would definitely come back to look for Ian and Warren again should we ever be back in London.
Thanks for having us!

“Great location and well presented”
Reviewed 29 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Family of 4 with teenage kids from Darwin, Australia. Well located flat with a great little shopping precinct 1min walk away no problems sending kids down to shops.Enjoyed the walk from Highbury station it was about 10-15 minutes but very pleasant through parkland. Walking home late at night was fine also. The flat was well presented exceptionally clean and had everything you need. We didn't have to call on Warren for anything but I am sure he would have responded to our needs. Great kitchen ( compact ) no problems cooking up meals or preparing lunches for the day with fresh rolls from local shops etc.. Nice touch with bottle of wine on arrival. Ian and Warren always on hand to answer queries through booking process.

“Great apartment & nice neighbourhood”

Last October we have visited Casal dei Fichi in Italy. And we had a great time there. Bob and Ian told about their apartment in London. So when planning a trip to London, why not renting their apartment? We did and we were not disappointed!
The apartment had all we needed. Even a cot and high chair for our 1,5 year old daughter. With a couple of stores, restaurants and bars just around the corner, the location is convenient. And it makes it very tempting to eat out. Which we did. Every evening ;-)

“Couldn't be better located”

I stayed in this flat for a month with my partner and two young children. Like many london flats, the space is cozy (read: small), but it had everything we needed to cook meals, get laundry done, and generally conduct family life while I was in London on business. Two things make the flat so special: an unbeatable location minutes from Islington's Upper Street with all its excellent dining and shopping, close proximity to a lovely and peaceful park for the kids, Highbury Barn's village-in-the-city feel right outside the front door (such a sweet little street), and excellent care from Ian and Warren (who even took good care of us when I botched our check out date). Well, that's actually four things I loved about this flat. I'd certainly stay again, and I'm a picky customer. Thanks, Ian and Warren!

“Fantastic place to stay in London”
Reviewed 9 November 2014 for a stay in November 2014

This must be one of the best and most economical self-catering places to stay in London, especially for a family. Conveniently located for all the sights and the West End, it is clean, tastefully decorated, secure, comfortable and with all the facilities one could want. Highly recommended
