Good hotel for short break

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 4 Nov 2014
Visited in October 2014. Please ignore the old fashioned professional photographs. This hotel has been brought up to 21st century standards with very modern rooms and facilities. Excellent bathroom, comfortable beds. The curtains in our room were in need of attention but upon making this known to reception staff this was remedied by housekeeping. One down side was the fact that payment had to be made for WiFi and was rather expensive. Good location though and easy to get to Paddington mainline station and tube stations. Would visit again.

Room Tip: Just put in your special requests when booking. We were on 1st floor and found this good. Only...

Just got here tonight. Cheap but not cheerful. My room smells and it is tiny. You get what you pay for. I was met at reception by a security guard that asked me to pay upfront. I was also asked for id, a first for me in the UK.

Travelling with 3 friends we booked two twin bedded rooms. Both rooms were very small. The first room had twin beds with an adequate space between them but the bathroom was very small. This room had only one coat hanger in the wardrobe and only one curtain across the window. The second room had a larger bathroom but there was less than an inch between the so called twin beds. The spare pillows had no pillow cases on them and one had mold on it. The only good thing about this hotel is it's location.

the rooms is clean and neat. all you need is there. well located. good area. however they scam you to book with them. their pricing on internet differ from what what you pay on arrival. lot of hidden costs too. at 50 pounds it will be fine to stay here. over 50 will be rip off.

Room tip: yes book another hotel.

Stayed here for 4 days. Even though we booked a Triple room, they have given us 2 double bedrooms on the first day. Those rooms were in the underground with no windows. It was kinda suffocating. And the carpet was wet and it was smelling bad. I was so tired that I dint have enough strength to complain even. Next day, we were given the triple room, and things were better. For the last day, we had booked a quadruple room due to the non-availability of the triple room. But the hotel people talked to the triple room persons and have agreed for the change which was so kind of them. They have helped us in booking cabs as well.

The location is perfect, close to the metro station and there are few restaurants ( 1 Indian as well) nearby.

Room tip: Dont select the basement room. No proper ventilation.
