The high cost to stay at this Apex Hotel in Temple Court is not representation of the amenities or location even for business travellers.
Choices are limited in the City of London in terms of keeping to budgets and low expenditure versus good value for money. London City seems to have got the hotels to agree to keep prices high. It will pay you to look West of the City for a better deal and the cost difference will easily justify the travel time/cost on the tube or even a taxi.

Room Tip: If you are not able to walk too far then ask for a room that is close to the lift. The room I had wa...

We chose this new hotel because of its contemporary furniture, and we were very happy with what we found. The staff was very kind and professional, and everyone paid attention to the client well-being. Even we booked a superior room, we had the pleasure of being upgraded to a Deluxe room which was wide and very comfortable. In front of the sofa, there was a large flat TV, offering the possibility of easily connecting video device, and an iPod docking station on the desk.
On the ground floor, the bar was nice and welcoming, with a fireplace looking to the armchairs and picture books on the shelves that can be taken to be leafed through. And close to the lifts, there were computers with a free internet access.
The location is good, nearby the Inns of Court and close to the City. The hotel is not far from Blackfriars metro station and bus line 46 (direct line from St Pancras station), and there is a bus stop just in front the hotel (lines to Westminster, Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, Oxford Circus...).
To summarize, it was a very nice stay and we never forgot our choice. Sure, we’ll come back !

Room Tip: The DeLuxe room are wide and comfortable.

A friend and I stayed for one night just at the tail end of the Jubilee weekend and while we failed to catch even a glimpse of Royalty we did see the flypast from St James' Park which was fun!
The location of the hotel encouraged us to explore an unfamiliar area of London and we were charmed by The Temple; well worth a stroll round. Our room (a twin) was exceptionally well appointed with great beds and linen, plenty of daylight, lovely Elemis toiletries, smart TV, iPod dock, shower and bath..........I could go on!! The room was squeaky clean and we had a great stay. I thought breakfast was rather 'expense account' pricey, but was well cooked and tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful and I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. Good location, interesting area, what's not to like?!

Myself and my boyfriend stayed here over the Jubille bank holiday for my birthday and found this place perfect for what we wanted. We planned to spend our time in the west end, seeing a show and doing some shopping, the location of this hotel was just perfect for that (10 minute steady walk to leicester square) and the price was so reasonable. If it stays reasonable (because obviously it is a new hotel) then we would definitely stay here again on our next trip. The rooms were quite small but very nice and well equipped with the usual features and some luxury extras such as elemis bathroom products, elemis sewing kit, complimentary bottled mineral water, mini bar & free wifi also! In the bathroom there was a Nice big bath too and separate shower cubicle. The staff were fantastic, friendly, helpful and courteous! The breakfast was pricey (£15pp per day) but tasty & fresh. The only downfall to the hotel was the price of drinks in the bar, (£6.50 for a small glass of rose wine) but then again it is the capital city! Very luxurious, comfortable & affordable, look no further, Perfect choice!!

Oh nearly forgot.. I also got a lovely gift of a box of handmade chocs from the hotel... yummy! :-) Thankyou hotel Apex Temple Court, we had a very enjoyable stay!

We booked a romantic, spur-of-the-moment retreat here for the weekend. Whilst the area is pretty dead on weekends after all the office boys and girls go home, it's lovely and quiet, which makes for a comfortable weekend sleeping experience!

The check-in staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful, and when we got upstairs and found a lovely, light, airy and very comfortable room, we were absolutely delighted.

There was nothing we didn't like about this hotel - from the excellent bath, the Elemis toiletries, the comfortable bed, the great TV, the price of the room, right through to the very helpful concierge who recommended a lovely little pop-up bar for us to visit.

Well done, Apex - we loved your work in Edinburgh, and we'll be happy to stay in your Fleet St incarnation any time!

Really superb hotel in a quiet location just off Fleet Street. Very helpful staff and the room was so quiet and well appointed. Breakfast set us both up for the day and was very reasonably priced. Stayed at the sister hotel, Apex City London and this was just as good. Would be on my recommend list to anyone.

Stayed one night in June. Exceptionally clean, smart and well-managed hotel. Reception staff bright, cheerful and helpful; room modern, spotless and quiet; beds comfortable; breakfast very pleasant (although not particularly cheap). The hotel's location is good, being situated within very easy walking distance of the West End, City and River - and if you want to use public transport, there are frequent buses running along Fleet Street which pass the hotel! Overall, highly recommended and will choose to stay there again.
