Great place to stay, Jane could not have been more helpful or welcoming. Her instructions for arriving via train from Heathrow were spot on, as were her local recommendations and travel advice. Lovely, comfortable room, light, airy and with a very comfy bed, ensuring a great night's sleep, plus the best breakfasts - highly recommended for a stay in London.

As regulars at the Lilac Door we should really keep quiet so we can get a room more easily, but that would be a miserable thing to do.
It is a cool and stylish place to stay presided over by the ever bubbly and delightful Jane, who is a perfect hostess.
There are huge comfortable beds with very upmarket bedding etc etc
Breakfast is delicious and quite healthy..it doesn't wreck the day or bring on premature death as B&B breakfasts can run the risk of doing.
Please do stay with Jane...but not on the days we want to stay!!!

This is a lovely place to stay. Jane just cannot do enough for you; from a glass of wine to welcome me to running me around in her car, she was a brilliant hostess. The room was excellent and the breakfasts almost too generous. I cannot wait to go back.

Room Tip: Choose an en suite room at the top of the house.

Jane is absolutely wonderful, very kind and thoughtful. The house itself is beautiful with a lovely facade and modern style. All the rooms are light and wonderfully made up. Fantastic location, highly recommended!

The best B&B I have ever stayed at and well worth it's review ratings. A room that rivalled a good hotel and a superb selection for breakfast. Very relaxing and comfortable. The lift to the tube station on leaving was a generous and thoughtful action. Strongly recommended.

From the moment my Mum called to book a room she said Jane was lovely.
Arriving after a journey from the North on trains and buses Jane warmly welcomed us into her home and business even carrying both our cases up for us!
My Mum chose the first room we came to in order to save her weary legs and bad back - lack of ensuite not being a problem as the beautiful bathroom was just next door.
A pot of decaf tea was offered and enjoyed sat in the lovely bright, modern room whilst we recovered from the journey.
I took the wonderful en suite room upstairs. In the eves with lovely velux windows the room was an oasis of calm in South London!
Wonderful bedding and every little touch you could need. The shower cap and gel were even in the shower rather than on the side.
Both Mum & I slept very soundly.
Breakfast was delicious. We started with freshly prepared pineapple with strawberries - wonderful. Hot offerings (we had smoked salmon and scrambled eggs) alongside artisan breads, pastries, every cereal you could want and a continental selection of meats and cheeses.
Thank you for a wonderful stay Jane :D

The room was very nice and pleasant with a good bed and bathroom. The breakfast was great and better then in a hotel. Jane, the owner and guest lady very friendly and hospitable. We were very happy we made this choice. If we're back in London we know where we wi stay.
