Stayed in room 802 on a Saturday night. No noise from nightclub, great welcome from the staff and super breakfast in the morning. Possibly not the cheapest night stay in London, but very central, clean and pleasant - worth the premium.

This hotel is literally on Leicester Square which was a pleasure to see as hotels in London generally exaggerate about their position and you find out you are actually miles from where you thought you would be! From check in to check out the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was a family room as I was travelling with my two small children and my mother and it was all ready, clean and of a decent size.
Unfortunately the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night scaring my children and keeping them awake for a while. On calling reception they were very apologetic and explained it was a false alarm. A note was later left under the door apologising again which was a nice touch. Breakfast was very nice although you had to wait for items in the buffet as they didn't seem to cater for the amount of people that were there and kept running out but the wait wasn't long. On checking out we mentioned the alarm but also explained we realised it wasn't the hotels fault but they immediately said they would refund the room rate we had paid. I really wasn't expecting this and it was very good of them. They then gave my two small children a little present (we checked out on Christmas eve) which was very thoughtful. Will definitely stay again and recommend.

Room Tip: We overlooked the small street off Leicester square on 23 rd Dec and didn't hear a thing althoug...

We recently stayed at the Premiere Inn - Leicester Square and found the hotel excellently located and functional, perfect for those who want to be in the thick of the tourist attractions and West End performance venues. Rooms do come at a price!

What we liked
Reserved through booking.com several months in advance to secure reservation, arrived early in the morning. Staff offered luggage storage until check-in time at 2pm.

Room: Our room was small but spacious enough with updated security (door lock activation). TV, Desk and chair were provided. Shower and toilet were in working order. Coffee making facilities were available and replenished daily. Bed was generally comfortable - affording a nice evening of sleep. View from the room window revealed a small part of Leicester Square with direct view of The Odeon.

Security: We felt the hotel and room to be safe. Windows were seal locked as were the lifts, floor hall doors and room doors.

Location is very good. You are less than five minutes walk to world class attractions, endless shows and dining opportunities in all directions. During December there was a Christmas Market just outside the hotel in the square, this was an enjoyable way to spend some time after dark in this part of Central London. The hotel is just a couple minutes walk to the Tube station (Piccadilly) and (Northern) lines providing quick access to many other nearby locations in central London as well.

What we didn't like as much.
There is no opportunity for early check-in, and guests must come at 2pm. Further, check-in was rather slow. We returned at 3pm and still waited another 20-30minutes before our room became available.

No safe in the room.

Suboptimal ventilation, resulting in the room becoming a bit stuffy. Windows don't open and the bathroom ventilation is poor.

Limited free wifi, with only 30 minutes for the entire stay. Thereafter, wifi charged at 3GBP per day.

Room cleaning and servicing could be better. We were left without towels one day. On another we returned to our room around 4pm to find that staff had just started cleaning, keeping us out of our room for another 15 minutes or so.

Rooms are pricey for modular and standard accommodations. We felt the location does not completely make up for the lack of other amenities such as safe and internet access.

Deal maker/breaker
Overall, Premiere Inn in Leicester Square has a very convenient location, making it a potentially good option for those who don't mind paying for the location while staying in a functional room.

Room Tip: Make sure you turn up right at 2pm (check-in time) or you risk them not having rooms available when...

We stayed in a Family room on the 5th floor and had no problem with the size of the room so can only assume the room sizes differ throughout the hotel.
As others have said you cant beat the location and that was one of the main reasons we booked this as although the Tube is just 2 mins away we only used it to travel back to Euston (4 stops).
The staff were very friendly and efficient with booking in only taking a couple of mins. We had a great night's sleep as there was no noise either from the street or from other guests returning during the night. I believe the windows are tripled glazed!!
We decided to have breakfast in the hotel which was good value at £8.95 each with children eating free. You could eat as much as you wanted with free drink top ups.
Would definitely recommend and will stay here again.

Location is brilliant, right in the heart of Leicester square. Room however was very poor for a Premier Inn. I stayed with my husband and two children in a tiny room that was only fit to a hold a single bed really. One of the pullout beds (camp bed) was extremely uncomfortable. It felt like I was lying on a bed of stones and resulted in me receiving no sleep, all night.

Superb location in Leicester Square. Staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. 24 hour bar which was very convenient. We were on the fifth floor overlooking Leicester Square with views to London Eye and Nelson's Column. We had a very peaceful night's sleep. Would definitely recommend and stay again in the future.
