“Not a budget hotel.”
Reviewed 15 April 2014

Generally we really enjoyed our stay. Free fruit and bottled water was a nice treat. The annex was close by and the hotel was a 5-7 min walk to the Excel. Room was small but nice. Sower was lovely. Fair amount of noise from road outside but we were at the front of the building. Long wait for breakfast as only 8 tables despite 34 rooms. Food was very nice though. Still would rate at 4 out of 5 despite the issues.

staff all friendly. Room very small and no windows, but bed was comfy. Walls are very thin - woken by shouting children in the next room in the early hours. Shower was great, but it flooded the bathroom and into the bedroom! Had to wait for a seat at breakfast, but was nice food.

Great hotel, Very clean and lovely breakfast!
We only paid £100 for 2 nights which i thought was brilliant and well worth the money! This included the breakfast, Toast, Eggs, Sausage and beans and then tea or coffee and also a glass of fresh orange juice. Staff were nice and friendly.
We were on the 3rd floor with a balcony which was brilliant. Rooms arent huge but big enough for us. Included a double bed, tv with freeview and built in dvd player, hairdryer, mini fridge - bathroom was quite small with a nice waterfall shower!

Only issue i had was the hotel was i a funny location - we got off the DLR at the Prince Regent stop which is literally a 5 minute walk but you did feel a little uncomfortable walking down the street towards the hotel. Bit of a run down area so you did feel like you werent ment to be there.
There are a few typical take-aways next to the hotel but we never tried any. We went for food just a 10 minute walk from the hotel, get the DLR to Custom House ExCel (i think) and theres a FOX (looks a bit like a posh whetherspoons) an Indian, Chinese and something else. We went to the Chinese, Very expensive and wasnt worth the £70 meal for 2 people due to the 2 miserable staff that worked there - food was lovely though!

On the whole was a great hotel for us to stay in!

Room Tip: Try getting a room with a balcony

Was a really cheap hotel, which was nicely decorated with really friendly and helpful staff! In zone 3 so a but out from central london, but the DLR is only a 2 min walk from the hotel! The area slightly run down though and the hotel looked out of place! Was fairly clean, but noticed cups in room weren't completely clean, and the tv remote was filthy, and a stain on one of the towels! Great value for money, price include breakfast which was a tasty english breakfast, with the option for cereal and fruit as well! Rooms not very sound proof!

I normally work in east London, and always look for a budget hotel. I have to say for a budget hotel this cost me £40 for the night, and i have to say the service was brilliant from the start at checking in to the point of check out. Firstly the room was in the Annex building and i was worried in might not be to standard, but i have to say it was definitely to the pictures that were on the website, it was very clean, warm, and the bed was really comfortable.
The breakfast was also included in the room rate which was also cooked as what ever was ordered from the menu and tasted well, and even more the WIFI and car parking was also included in the room rate.
The front staff Rehman was really helpful and polite.
I will definitely give this hotel repeat business. Many Thanks Guys.

The customer service at this hotel was excellent. Comfortable and clean room (loved the shower)free wifi, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We arrived quite late on the Monday night but this wasn't a problem. Secure car park but free parking also available outside the hotel which was one of the reasons we chose this hotel in the first place. We would definitely recommend the hotel and we are planning to return for several more nights this month.
