“DONT!!!”
Reviewed 11 September 2013

Quite simply, DONT STAY HERE?, im not a fussy person, but this place is absolutely awful, my girlfriend and i travelled from Aberdeen, to see the proms at the park, and being canny aberdonians, we took a chance at the reasonable price for a hotel in a nice and advantageous location, arrived and left within an hour, horrible tin shower cublicle in the room, dingy surroundings and a climb up to the fourth/fifth floor, was the final nail in the coffin for this "hotel"? its such a shame because this has a nice facade, and in wonderful location, but enter at your own risk and i urge you to rethink before booking, The reception lad was pleasant and simply said "you get what you pay for", well its up to us not to pay at all! Simply DONT GO and line someones pockets for no effort in customer satisfaction, try around the corner and stay at either the Lancaster - Best Western or the Corus, only a bit more expensive but increase your enjoyment of your stay 10 FOLD... really consider or just dont consider this place

Room Tip: Another Hotel - Another Room!!!

This hotel was awful, myself and my brother traveled from N.Wales for the Radio 2 Hyde Park gig.
We arrived at the hotel and a guest was complaining about exposed wires on a hairdryer that didn't bode well. We were given a twin room which was 4 floors with no lift, ok we're are relatively fit but would have been an issue for a family or older people.
The room was shoddy with rotted windows, aged and damaged decor, cracked mirror and tiny bathroom with shower cubicle. The electrics were appalling with a loose double socket that we didn't want to use and wouldn't work when 2 appliances were plugged in.
The breakfast ( what breakfast?) was a round of toast and stewed tea or coffee on a stove with selection of jams. Luckily we had a great time at the event and didn't need to be in there very much. Word of warning if you do stay here they will want paying up front!!! - Avoid, avoid, avoid

Room Tip: Stay somewhere else...

This old hotel is in an excellent location close to Paddington tube station. The hotel needs renovating, but if it was it would no longer be such a great price. Clean sheets and towels, hot water and no permanent residents, it ticked all the boxes. The staff were always pleasant and helpful.

Room Tip: Like so many old hotels there isn't a lift so if you struggle with your suitcase say you'd p...

The rooms are awful health and safety would have a field day how the hotel gets away with this!!! They gave our room away with our luggage still in there!!!! Then we got an Evan worse room with wallpaper hanging off the walls and shower ummm more like a tiny hole in the wall!!! We were upgraded to a VIP room which was better, breakfast was shocking not good enough for this day and age. The only good thing close to paddington

Make sure you do not check in at night. I booked for 3 days in total but I just stayed there for one night. The reception during afternoon is with good attitude and i appreciated him a lot. The room was in the basement. The room in basement give me a feeling that is not safe. You are just separated from the street with a slam of door with a window.

The 2nd night i got back from Paris. The reception at night is in a bad attitude. No bell service. He gave me a room on 3/F. I was not strong enough to take my luggage to 3/F. That guy just keep saying that the helped me last time and this time he will not help me.

Is that the service that i deserve?

I moved to another hotel immediately!!!

The worst experience in my whole life. Very poor quality accommodation, unclean and has nothing to do with the pictures on the website!! Will never ever think of staying at your hotel nor recommend it to anyone!! They call it breakfast, when it's only cheap toast, coffee and orange juice!! Certainly not worth a penny.

Room Tip: Do not even think about it!!
