Well placed position in the heart of Londons financial district with Liverpool station right across the road. The apartment was clean and had all necessaties. Staff were fantastic, friendly and even printed out maps and suggested restaurant s etc (thanks Anna!) The only disadvantage was the bedroom was quite small but with a spacious lounge attached we found it didnt matter. Highly recommended, would stay there again!

196 Bishopsgate is ideally located for touring London. Since it is in the City of London, right across from a major tube stop, we could do a lot in the morning, come back for a rest in the afternoon, and go out again later, without wasting much of our day in travel time. You might be concerned that this means too much city noise, but we did not have any problem with this perhaps because we did run the air-conditioners. We never heard any noise from other occupants. The 2-bedroom apartment was bigger than we expected. It was wonderful to have our own small kitchen and with Tesco just a few doors down we were able to eat some meals cheaply. There are also several food vendors and small restaurants around Liverpool Street Station (tube/train stop across the street from the hotel) and there were many places to grab a quick and inexpensive meal. We appreciated the small lift in the hotel which helped getting our luggage up and down the floors. The washer/dryer was also much appreciated although we had to learn not to fill it too full. One detail which I found very positive is that the floors are all wood and marble, no carpet, which seems cleaner and less allergenic to me. The staff were really friendly and helpful with any questions we had. A very positive experience overall.

A couple of notes in case prospective visitors have mobility issues: You have to step very high to get in and out of the bathtub/shower, and with the marble flooring in the bathroom, it might be dangerous to step in and out of the tub if you aren't sure of your footing. Also all interior doors are fire-doors, which means they are heavy and must be propped open with something substantial (luggage, for instance) to stay open. This may be due to hotel regulation rather than a design choice of 196 Bishopsgate.

Stayed here August 2013 in executive suite. Sizable accommodation for 2 adults 2 kids. Staff very very friendly and helpful, apartment was clean, all electrical goods worked fine, kitchen was OK for us. Only minor criticisms were that the shower could do with Turbocharging, and one of the bedrooms was not air conditioned (other and lounge was) which made it a little noisy as we had to have the window open. That said, it's in a good position, the kids loved it, and I would stay here again.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights in August and it was excellent. We had a studio, with kitchen, sitting area with TV, sofa, chairs, music etc, large bedroom with AC and a lovely bathroom. The continental breakfast was delivered to our door each morning in a basket. We couldn't have wished for a better place. Excellent value and right in the middle of the city!

Very nice managed apartment, very friendly and helpful staff. Great location right across from Liverpool Station plugs you directly into both the tube and train systems. Several bus lines go right by the front entrance. Faces the financial district, with the happening East End right behind. Walkable distance from the London Bridge. Don't miss the Spittalfields Market, the Leadenhall Market and, last but not least, Dirty Dick's Pub, right next door!

Room Tip: We asked for a quiet room away from the street and had a great sleep each night.
