“One of my favourite places in London”
Review of Stoke Newington

Apart from being off the tube network, this place has so much to offer. A real urban village. Great for eating and drinking. Clissold Park is great on a sunny day. Has stuff for all the family including a tennis courts, an excellent playpark and even a skatepark!

An interesting place to spend an afternoon, particularly Church Street and Clissold Park. If you are visiting London then it will be too difficult to get easily in and out of town if you stay here, unless you stay near Highbury! Lovely cafes and restaurants though.

Nice small cafes, bistros and restaurants. The Clissold Park with its huge playground is recommendable for families!

Being a coffee lover is great.....as you can sample some great artesian coffee houses in London....
So so much to choose from....but I friend of mine while visiting took me to a small coffee/ Bagel Shop in Stoke Newington called BOOTHS (Fresh Bake Bagel) family own, homemade on the spot pizzas, but that is not all......I came across some magnificent coffee (of the beaten track), this guys have a small concession in this shop and make a fantastic cup of coffee......the interesting thing is 100% Colombian Coffee (unblended) Arabica beans.....Roasted in Colombia.
Overall that was the highlight of my day...apart from sampling the lovely espresso larger next door at the jolly butcher.....I trip worth making to this area....off the beaten track.

Want to check out where Hackney's gentrification revolution began, come here. Sip a few lattes, visit a few silly middle class places, find Tony Blair's first London house and oh go to Clissold Park for afternoon with the deer and other urban animals. If you have another half hour check out the cemetery, a hidden London highlight!
