I arrived in London with the Eurostar from Paris late in the evening. The hotel is located only a few steps away from St. Pancras Intl. Station. The recepitionst was very friendly. The stairwell is pretty worn down and there is no elevator so if you are travelling with heavy luggage you need to be in good shape especially when your room is on the top floor like mine was. The room had three single beds, a TV and a washroom, all I needed for my short stay. I will never understand the British system of having one sink with two taps, one for cold and one for hot water and why they are still around. To flush the toilet you needed several attempts and it took forever to refill the tank. Although the room was on the fourth floor and the hotel is located in a side street I found it quite noisy because through the thin windows I could hear the noise from the street but also I could hear when my neighbors came home or left their room etc.
Breakfast was average, too. 4 or 5 choices of cereals, brown or white toast, ham, cheese and a few pre-packed sweet toppings (jam, honey, nutella), that was it.
In the area there are the typical fast food chains but also a few restaurants. For dinner I went to an indian restaurant around the corner and had some delicious food there.
Overall it was an OK stay but nothing special, but on the other hand you get what you pay for.

I booked a last-minute stay to enjoy a NYE in London. I stayed a few days and I was very happy with the overall level of service. Friendly staff, my room was kept clean all the time, TV + free WiFi and plenty of food to eat for breakfast. A perfect choice for a backpacker seeking for a little of a comfort at the end of a long day.

The hotel is wonderfully situated just across the road from Kings Cross Station. Nearby there are convenient stores and restaurants. There is a nice little Chinese restaurant there as well so it is a bonus for us!
Room wise, it is simply furnished with nice comfy and clean beds. We stayed in a triple room. Kettle, tea and coffee are provided in the room, plus mints and packet biscuits which are topped up everyday!
However, the toilet could be better. Although clean, it is pretty small and cramped. There is no separate curb to hold the water from the shower area so as you bathe, the water will flow and overflow to the other parts of the toilet. Although the floor is slopped in such a way to prevent the whole toilet floor from getting wet, it is still not enough, especially for someone who likes to keep the bathroom floor dry.
Breakfast consists of toast, ham, cheese, cereals, hard boiled eggs and yoghurt. Taste wise they are satisfactory.
Staff wise, they are polite and efficient. My brother in law sent them an email to print out a letter for us and they had it delivered to our room so quickly. Special mention goes to the lady who helps out at breakfast. She is always smiling despite the crowd and the amount of cleaning she has to do :)
One point to note is there is no lift so do ask for ground floor if you have heavy luggage.

Room and hotel is very average but location and price compensate for this

Room was small and bed a bit soft for me. Bathroom layout very poor but more or less functional. Decor left a bit to be desired

Breakfast was on just worth going downstairs for - i did not realise you could get sliced bread that bad but clearly you can!

However at £60 a night for a single you can probably do worse

We stayed here at the beginning of a 7 week tour and returned there at the end. The location, near St Pancras/ King's Cross Station is ideal for either train or underground connections. The room and bath are very small, but clean and perfectly adequate. The breakfast was cereal, cold meat and cheese, breads, juice, milk, coffee. The desk and breakfast staff were courteous and friendly.

Stayed here for 4 nights in October/November, 2013. This is a small, inexpensive hotel with clean rooms, shower was of decent size and plenty of hot water, breakfast (included) was typical English breakfast with dry cereal, canned fruit, yogurt, plenty of bread, warm hardboiled eggs and sliced ham and cheese. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable. The downside is the room was tiny and the beds each had a heavy comforter with no top sheet, which I found uncomfortable.
