I arrived in London with the Eurostar from Paris late in the evening. The hotel is located only a few steps away from St. Pancras Intl. Station. The recepitionst was very friendly. The stairwell is pretty worn down and there is no elevator so if you are travelling with heavy luggage you need to be in good shape especially when your room is on the top floor like mine was. The room had three single beds, a TV and a washroom, all I needed for my short stay. I will never understand the British system of having one sink with two taps, one for cold and one for hot water and why they are still around. To flush the toilet you needed several attempts and it took forever to refill the tank. Although the room was on the fourth floor and the hotel is located in a side street I found it quite noisy because through the thin windows I could hear the noise from the street but also I could hear when my neighbors came home or left their room etc.
Breakfast was average, too. 4 or 5 choices of cereals, brown or white toast, ham, cheese and a few pre-packed sweet toppings (jam, honey, nutella), that was it.
In the area there are the typical fast food chains but also a few restaurants. For dinner I went to an indian restaurant around the corner and had some delicious food there.
Overall it was an OK stay but nothing special, but on the other hand you get what you pay for.
