My wife and I stayed here for two nights in the middle of November. Our hostess, Breda, could not have been better. Very warm, welcoming and absolutely went way out of her way to help us. A first rate experience in every which way. The Southgate neighborhood (where The Oaks is located) is outside the central London area, but the nearby underground station made getting around to the places that we wished to visit quite convenient. My highest ratings for this lovely BnB.

Room Tip: They are all good.

Tony and Breda have a gem here in the Oaks Guest House. We spent four nights in October 2013 here, and our room was very nice and big - and the bathroom was incredibly big! Breda puts a very nice continental breakfast out for you (it's a shame to call it a continental breakfast as the selection of what you can have is very good). I especially liked the fact that we could get crumpets - where have THESE tasty critters been all my life?

Breda and Tony couldn't have been more accommodating - in fact, on a rainy morning, we didn't ask, but Tony gave us a ride to the tube station! The Oaks is only about 7 or 8 minutes from the Southgate Tube Station; easily walkable (but don't trust the GPS - the first day we walked down the wrong road in the rain for a while before turning around and finding the right road). The location of this B&B is about a 45 minute tube ride from downtown London - but the savings are definitely worth it! Don't stay in a fleabag hotel downtown for twice the price, come out to Enfield and stay in style!

Quality of the room was excellent; bathroom incredibly appointed and BIG. You leave your shoes at the front door, so you know you're in a very nice home.

Thanks to Breda and Tony for a great experience.

We stayed for 2 nights here over the weekend. The rooms were clean, newly decorated with lots of extra little touches that made our stay homely and welcome. We had an en-suite bathroom and the room was plenty big enough for the two of us and our 10 month old son. We had friends stay in another room with their 2 children also. It was handy to walk to the station to catch the train into London which the children loved and lovely to leave the hustle and bustle of the day and come back to the peace and quiet of the guest house. Breda and Tony were superb hosts and made us feel very welcome, and we enjoyed the breakfasts, especially the fresh fruits & pastries and brewed coffee. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this Guest House.

I have just spent four days at The Oaks Guest House with my husband and my
two children. Breda welcomed us into her beautiful house. Our room was
new and very clean with a lovely bathroom. Continental breakfast was served
to us with fresh fruits, yogurt, all kind of cereals, juices, toasted bread,
tea/coffee.
The underground station was close to the Guesthouse, on the Piccadilly Line
which carried us directly to the centre of London in about half an hour.

We stayed here September 2013, and have to say it way exceeded expectations.

Whilst the location is a little out of the way, it's is only a 5 min or so walk to the tube for access to anywhere in the city.

We were going to a gig in Alexandra palace and so perfect.

Owners are great, no fuss, nice welcome and show around when we arrived. Room was great and super clean and extremely well appointed - way exceeding expectations. Guest house itself is only in second full year of operation and as such the whole place is as new, rooms smarter and cleaner than many big chain hotels. Bathroom amenities were good and plentiful, tea and coffee facilities in room were great. Bed comfortable and beautifully made up with cosy duvet and loads of pillows.

The continental breakfast included in the rate was brilliant and again exceeded our expectations.

Thank you to The Oaks!!

I stayed at The Oaks in July with my husband and 2 young children. We had such a lovely stay in the family room at the top of the house. All our needs for the children were catered for, and the little kitchen area outside our room was perfect and very convenient for heating baby's bottle/washing up/refrigerating milk etc. The b&b is spotlessly clean, modern in decor yet very homely. It's a perfect retreat after a long day in central London. Breda and Tony are fantastic hosts and really made us all feel very welcome.

I had the pleasure of staying at The Oaks guesthouse this summer with my husband and young son in a lovely family room on the top floor of the house with wonderful views. Breda & Tony were perfect hosts and really could not do enough for us all. The house itself was modern yet warm and cosy & spotlessly clean. This place really does deserve it's 5 star reviews, particularly for the standard of accomodation and fantastic management & staff. The property is well located for travelling into town, only 5 mins to the local underground and a pleasant 20-30 min tube ride into town. We have already recommended it to our friends and are planning another visit in the new year, our son did not want to leave! Thanks for a wonderful stay.
