“Friendly and accommodating. ”
Reviewed 16 August 2014 via mobile

Stopped by today as a small group, including little person and 2 dogs. Very friendly welcome, and water was brought almost immediately for the dogs. Lots of indoor/outdoor seating and a very relaxed atmosphere, we made a few new friends while we were there, which is always nice! Standard pub food, but a very commendable beet root/lentil burger for little veggie me. All in all, a good place to hang out for a couple of hours.

“Oasis in the centre of town”
Reviewed 4 August 2014

It was our choice in Bermondsey St for a Saturday lunch venue on a sunny day. The garden has a good number of tables to cater for a decent crowd of what looked to be mostly locals, a good sign. It was quiet and tranquil out the back with London Bridge station and he hurly-burly of a busy London street only a stone's throw from the front. Inside seemed slightly dark, with character wooden tables and floor, but that might be because it was very bright outside.

The menu was good pub fayre with 3 specials which we tried washed down with a foreign lager. The food was good, service polite and quite quick, lager was original. All in all a good experience. Standard lunch charge is about £12 +/- which seems decent value; beer was London prices.

More of a pub / local than a restaurant. Would definitely go back.

“What a Sunday roast”
Reviewed 20 July 2014 via mobile

An amazing Sunday roast dinner! Great outside area and great food. A really good choice and good food for central London .It's not very often you get a nice outside area in London to have dinner and drinks in. Don't know the rest of the menu but I bet it is good. The service was very good for a bar

“A victim of its own popularity”
Reviewed 16 July 2014 via mobile

A lovely pub that has fallen foul of its own popularity. The staff are super inefficient. The service is often sloppy and uncared for. The food is decidedly average and the prices are slightly high for the caliber if product on offer.

Generally a last resort venue

“Great pub great food”

Nice beer garden open in summer months, good amounts of seating upstairs. Menu is hearty and especially recommend the pulled pork sandwich and triple cooked chips.
