It was nice to meet the manager who was of indian origin, pub was very well run, clean and helpful. Beer on tap was amazing in the heat

Nice traditional pub in an easy to get to location. Was great to meet up with friends there after a day exploring London. Some good ales with some great names there. My stay on as brief as had to get train but would recommend. Especially on a summers evening and you can sit outside.

We had a lovely night last night of real gravity ales from the barrel and a tasty steak pie in the Bree Louise A most civilised time was had in this traditional British Pub. Lovely helpful bar maids who are also pretty & speak great English [because they are!] What's not to like. There is a wide range of real ales direct from the barrel & you can taste before you buy like all good pubs serving real ales. IF you are a CAMRA member be sure to take your card for the worthwhile discount.

Maybe I was missing the joke or possibly just didn't "get it". Yeah, the pub looks very traditional and had a great selection of beers, but the bar staff were so rude I felt like my patience was being tested on a hidden camera show.

If you actually want to have a nice evening & drink, I'd suggest going to ANYWHERE else.

1/10

Traditional Ales and traditional food at reasonable prices. Excellent British Pub, no "theme", not a bar but everything a pub should be. If you are a camra member dont forget your membership card for a discount.
