This is one of the worst hotels in London I have stayed at. Receptionist was bordering on rude when we arrived, not a good start. Travel lodge is luxurious compared to this. Our room had broken tatty furniture with cigarette burns all over. The tiny bathroom had broken tiles throughout, no plug in sink and you had to be a contortionist to reach the toilet paper. Breakfast was a joke. We paid £95 per night for room. Feel very embarrassed when I saw lots of foreign visitors being ripped off here, I don't know what impression they must get. Only positive is location to Eurostar and rail.

Room ok for a single, very small. Good location for Kings Cross And St Pancras stations, buses, shops, cafes and restaurants. Quick check in. Quiet location. Cannot tell you much else as arrived late and left early next morning.
Room tip: Did not check rest of hotel

Excellent place for ove stay if you only want somewhere to sleep as a stop over to rail stations ! Room in annex was tiny with bathroom/cupboard not enough room to even dry yourself after showering ! Breakfast was disgusting ... mc Donald's over the road was the answer !

This is one of the most convenient hotels I had stayed in London, location is perfect, rooms are small, wifi is not bad at all and breakfast is modest but tasty. For a day or two I would reccomend for sure.
Room tip: Close to the reception is wifi is stronger

I booked the hotel room because I needed to catch an early Eurostar train and there was supposed to be a Tube strike, which in the event was cancelled. The reception member of staff offered me an upgrade to a double room on arrival. The room was clean, large, and did the job. Solid night sleep. The key thing is that it is literally across the road from St Pancras, and near a whole range of restaurants. A good bolt hole if you need a base for an early morning departure. Oh, and £98 for 2 nights with breakfast booked through an online travel agency.
Room tip: Ask for an upgrade.

I have stayed at the Carlton for over 2 years now it's excellent value for money, the only thing is now the price is a little lower because they have gone fully Continental Breakfast, but loads of cerial, toast, croissants, Cheese, and boiled eggs, Tea & coffee, plus it's just across the road from King Cross Station and Underground.
Room tip: There is an annex a little further on the street, very quite there.
