“Fab central hotel”
Reviewed 24 November 2013 via mobile

Just returned from a weekend here! Lovely hotel with some fab touches. Although I wasn't alone was lovely to see the special areas for people dining alone with built in TV etc. Rooms we're clean and spacious, and having a bath and a separate shower was great for a gang of women all scrambling to get ready. Staff incredibly helpful, and the lady who allocated breakfast tables was amazing, even remembering our preference after one day! Would definitely stay again.

Overall this is a decent hotel in a pretty central location. Short walk to London Bridge and Thames path. Rooms clean and well presented. Local area is ok, but a bit sterile at night unless you fancy a walk. Staff on reception great, but let down by lack lustre dining room. We stayed Fri/Sat night and both mornings breakfast room was overwhelmed. Queue outside while used tables stand empty with un cleared crockery. We were seated twice in the bar at uncomfortable tables. Evening meal offers a fixed price deal which on the surface seems good value, starters and puddings ok ,however main courses were cold and buffet not refreshed often enough. Good place to stay if you get a deal, but eat out would be my recommendation.

On arrival we were told we had been upgraded to executive rooms. These were lovely. The addition of a "nespresso" coffee maker, bathrobes, slippers and a free movie would have been fantastic if we had time to use them as we only stayed one night.
The nearest tube station was at 'mansion house' - a good 10 minute walk from the hotel via Southwark bridge.
The only real downside to the hotel was at breakfast. The restaurant area was relatively small compared with the amount of guests the hotel can accommodate, therefore the overspill of guests are escorted to the bar area to dine. Due to our personal situation we requested to wait until a table became available in the restaurant which took about 15 mins. The staff were very understanding about this and apologised a number if times for the wait. The range of food available was superb and the kids especially liked the pancake maker.
The executive room we had was spacious even with the sofa bed pulled out into a double. The bathroom, having a bath and shower over was also very roomy. The bathroom doors open outwards and fold right back, making this room easier to access for guests with mobility issues.
All in all we had a lovely stay in London with the hotel added to the luxury.

I arrived at lunchtime and my room was ready and available, check-in was a breeze and reception staff were very welcoming. I was given a executive room on the third floor overlooking the car park at the rear of the hotel away from the busy street below. The room was large with a very comfortable bed and sofa, it was super clean and came with a Bose docking station and Nespresso coffee machine. This hotel also supply free WiFi throughout, a feature I look for in accommodation wherever I go, a hotel without free WiFi is like a hotel without hot water. Overall this was one of the best hotels that I have ever had the pleasure of staying in. I would highly recommend to this hotel to anyone planing a trip to London.

My sister, elder daughter & I stayed here for 2 nights. It's a very modern hotel with excellent facilities. The rooms are spotless. There is a coffee. canine and fridge with drinks in it.
The bathrooms are amazing. Wifi all over the hotel. We had cooked breakfasts both morning. There were continental meats, different cheeses, fresh juices, yogurts and fresh fruit available.
There was also a pancake making machine. You were given a newspaper as you went into the Restaurant.
