“Good location, OK hotel”

Realize that this is what I would consider a "basic" hotel. The location was great - just a block from King's Cross / St. Pancras station and tube stop. The hotel itself was good for the price and location, but realize that you are paying for the location more than the hotel itself.

Unlike other reviewers, found no problem with cleanliness nor breakfast. Room was tiny. Bed fine. Did have to drag bags up 3 flight of stairs, but knew that. Perfectly fine for 5 days thereafter. Lucky weather was cool. The provided fan would not have done much.

This hotel is very conveniently located, just one minute from St Pancras/King's Cross. My single room had a decent size and looked nice, it was furnished in a sort of country style. The bathroom was fairly clean. I didn't try the breakfast, though.
The room itself was not exactly clean, it had a little dust in some parts of it, the carpet was quite dirty, and there were also lots of spots and pencil marks on the walls. The bathroom was also very spartan, with no place for storing my things at all and a very loud ventilation system. During the nights there was also some noise from drunk people outside.
Altogether, I was happy to have found an affordable room in that location and I felt quite well here for three nights, but you shouldn't expect too much.

A low cost hotel in a good location, only a minute or two from Kings Cross station.
The hotel is in good decorative order generally, unlike some cheaper hotels I have stayed at in London.
My single room was compact, clean and nicely presented. There was a modern sink unit with a mirror above. The bed was quite narrow and reasonable comfortable.
There were two good shower rooms and a single lavatory serving several rooms on the 3rd floor. I had no problems during my stay.
There was a short wait for a table at breakfast as the breakfast room has limited space and tables. I shared a table with other people in order to make the most of the limited space..Not a problem for me at all.
The breakfast was good, though not exceptional. There was a choice of cereals, orange juice and a full cooked breakfast, followed by white sliced toast. The service was efficient enough, though not especially friendly. In fairness, the lady serving the tables was quite busy.
I was more than happy with the hotel and the value for money provided (for London anyway)
I would be happy to stay again if needing a hotel in this area of London.

Room Tip: Front rooms look over a garden area with little traffic, Rear rooms may be even quieter.

I have stayed here before and wanted to book again as the hotel is convenient for Euston and for where I was visiting plus I got a very good rate as I booked well in advance. Check-in was quick and efficient and I was in my room (201 at top of 2nd floor) within a few minutes. A single room is just fine for me and there are only 2 other rooms on this part of the building (202/203). All landing entry doors remind customers to close doors quietly. The room looks out onto main street which is NOT always quiet but perhaps I got lucky this time as I slept reasonably well. Breakfast is good but the dining area is small and it really is advisable to be there early otherwise you just have to wait for a free table. My only gripe is that the external door lock needs to be mended and it took several attempts before I managed to open the door. Otherwise will certainly book again for my next London visit.

My wife and I stayed for a single night in late July. The Meridiana is a low cost hotel quite near King's Cross/St. Pancras. For £92 we got an en-suite room with a double bed on the bottom floor. The room was small but clean. The bed is a futon pad a few inches thick on a wooden slat frame. As with most economy hotels in older buildings in London the bathroom is a very small insert affair. The shower, sink, and toilet are all situated in-line in a space about 2 ½ feet wide and maybe 6 feet long. WiFi was included. The room had a small flat-panel television mounted on the wall and an electric kettle on a stand with a small tea service. There was a wardrobe with spare blankets and pillows in the corner and just enough room to walk around the bed. We arrived on one of the hottest days of the year, with the temperature nearly 20ºF warmer than usual for the season. The gentleman at the desk lent us a small electric fan which was of some help. The Meridiana does not have air conditioning. Breakfast is from 7-9 most days and apparently not a moment past, as I observed the staff refuse an additional piece of bacon to a guest at a few minutes after 9. They served an average traditional English and there were 2 types of cereal and milk on a sideboard. The Meridiana is very conveniently located one block south of the Euston Road entrance to King's Cross on a small tree-lined square in a row with several other like hotels. The area was not as secluded as the nearby Cartwright Gardens, but was quiet enough. Be aware that the management will charge an additional 3.5% on any bill paid with a credit card.

All in all I would recommend the Meridiana to travelers staying a short time for it's proximity to the stations. Serviceable but nothing special.

Room Tip: Room 7b is situated on the bottom floor with a window that looks out onto the building's small c...

This is not a very good hotel. The only things it has going for it are its location and price, which are big, but are the only things I'd give stars for. The rooms were very small, which though not totally their fault, they didn't help by cramming stuff in. The bathrooms were horrible. They seemed like they used to be closets, as they were barely big enough to stand in, and had sliding, broke wooden doors. The breakfast was pretty bad as well, and not worth staying for. Overall, not impressed.
