We have been here a few times now. Always a really good experience! Staf are very friendly, helpful and the rooms are spacious, clean and nice. We are two adults and one child - and we got a double room with two double beds, and a lot of space to play in for the child. Perfect! We would love to stay there again.

This hotel was fab. Nice room, well positioned, great staff. It is very centrally located in Camden Lock so just yards from the bustling centre of Camden and it's market and the tube is just 2 minutes down the road. The hotel was very clean and inviting with a great welcome from the staff. The room was lovely, slightly stingey with the tea/coffee but happy to have more when I asked. There were also feather pillows available (but they were all out when I asked) but at least there was an offer. Breakfast was good; good choice of cereals and cooked breakfast, with freshly made pancakes too. Pity there weren't poached eggs or maple syrup (for the pancakes) on offer but I certainly wasn't hungry. Definitely going to stay here again when I get chance

Room Tip: Rooms on the front have a small Juliet balcony which is good to watch the world go by but on the bac...

Really nice hotel and a nice spacious 4 bed room in a great location. Only downside was patchy phone signal on both EE and Three in the room we were in as it was in the middle of the building and looked onto an internal courtyard. Could have done with free wifi in rooms like this.

I had never been to Camden but it's 5 minutes from Euston Station in a taxi. And it is truly vibrant! The HI is a superb hotel but the real standout is the way you are treated. The staff are superb. From Marta at check in finding my loyalty number then giving me all my perquisites to the young girl from Krakow in the bar who told me she only likes villages; and Camden is a village. Don't hesitate if you get a good deal. The staff will make your stay memorable.

We stayed at this Hotel over the christmas holidays and the staff were great. There was a mix-up as to the number of rooms we reserved but they were fantastic in resolving the problems and actually offered to credit us for the extra room (for the first day). I did not give them five stars because one of our rooms was on the side facing a night club so it was quite noisy for a little while, but the noise died down at about 2am once the club closed.

I will definitely consider using them again. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

I have stayed at this hotel many times over the past few years and always check it if I want a Camden base.

There are very often good deals available for rooms which often means it's pretty much the same price as a (London) Premier Inn. Additionally if you join the free IHG rewards you often get a further discount.

The rooms are generally spacious and the whole hotel is always very clean and reasonably well equipped. I have always found the staff very friendly and helpful.

It's not going to compare to a 5 star hotel, but it is a big step above a Premier Inn and much nicer than many of the smaller (and often expensive) hotels that litter London.

The only negative point (if you get a good deal on the price) is that understandably some of the rooms can be a little noisy, depending on which way the room faces and the time of week. The hotel is directly opposite Camden lock / Dingwalls / Wetherspoons and as such noise can be expected. Some of the rooms face the canal and lockside market which would provide a great view, if you don't mind the possibility of noise.

That said - I have only had one noisy room so far and on this trip I had a very quiet room (even on a Friday night) and slept fine.

The hotel are happy to hold your luggage before and after check out / in whilst you continue your visit.

As I mentioned - it is located in central Camden, the northern line tube is a very short walk away to get into central London or if you don't want to struggle with the masses of people at Camden Town station you can get the number 88 bus from just down the road which stops on Regent Street.

I will almost certainly book here again if I decide to stay in Camden.

Room Tip: If you want a quiet room request one that faces away from the canal.

The hotel has a fresh and new feel to it, it's nothing like a traditional 4 star hotel. The decor in the public areas is very 'IKEA' but pleasant all the same.
Our room (406) overlooked the CBS building next door, but offered a glimpse of the Lock and market area behind the hotel.
Our room wasn't cleaned on our penultimate day, however I expect this would have been rectified with a call to reception. The room itself was large and spotlessly clean.
The bed was comfortable and came with a selection of soft or firm pillows which added to the comfort.
Although we only paid £63 per night for this hotel I was surprised to find that breakfast wasn't included. The price of breakfast is an additional £9.99 for an all you can eat buffet however we opted to eat elsewhere.
Wifi in reception is free although on this occasion I encountered an error message, and couldn't access it. There is a good 3G signal in the area though.
The hotel is a 5 minutes walk from Camden Town tube station, however the immediate area offers a variety of big name high street shops and both Camden Market and Spittlefields market.

Room Tip: Try to get one over looking the lock.
