“Beautiful location”
Reviewed 13 August 2014

I stayed here for a multi-day company business function. While I travel to London often, I had never spent time in or around Camden Lock. What a cool place! Plenty of unique scenery, close to Regents Park (gorgeous!) and wide variety of pubs/restaurants close to the property. I would stay here again.

Room Tip: Aim for one along the canal - the views are beautiful.

This is my 3rd or 4th time here. It's hard to believe this is a Holiday Inn. It is really a great, yes great hotel. The folks that work there genuinely care that their guests are happy. I have stayed at Intercontinentals and Crowne Plazas that don't compare to this property.

My special thanks to the great staff at this hotel.

I came back to this hotel, having stayed previously. The location remains very good, but can be very noisy at weekends, and this can impact almost every room. There are only a few quiet rooms, so if you would like one book early and specifically request this.

The staff were friendly (although am sure there is high turnover), and generally very helpful. The rooms are typical, small but clean, and it is really easy to use as a base for a London visit. Wouldn't suggest for young families, as Camden Market area is much more interesting for teens.

Free wifi available if you join loyalty program, which is free. So strongly suggest this as otherwise pricey

Really friendly atmosphere throughout the hotel and in the Wider area of Camden. There is always something to do here. Market Place and street food amazing. Tube station is a five minute walk away which is 3 mins from Euston.

Much better than we expected for a Holiday Inn. The lounge and bar are very nice, the rooms are very big and the service was very strong. Most important is the locale, directly behind the hotel is the river and lock and then just over the bridge its the heart of camden market. Fantastic spot. Try to pick it up on a discount deal if possible (we got it for just under $200 which is a big discount).

Stayed here for one night with my mother son and niece to go sight seeing around london. It is located on the canal with wetherspoons next door amd a beer garden to sit and watch the barges. Plenty of markets and eateries open 24 hours and good for bus links. Took the canal barge to the zoo about ten mins away. Had breakfast and the lady was amazing with the children. The food was good and so was the room service we had. The check in staff were lovely. Check out was even better asking how the stay was recommended things to do with the rest of our day with the kids and even booked attractions for us. Kept hold of our bags for us too as our coach wasnt until midnight. Mark on reception was pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. Would recommend and stay again. Thank you holiday inn camden lock.

Spent a couple of nights here whilst on a recent business trip. The hotel is close walking distance to Camden Lock which it overlooks and handy for shopping and the local bars. My only criticism is that whoever designed it shouldn't have put the reception desk next to the front door. When either coming or going, you have to push through those who are checking in/out and it's a real pain. I opted for one of the balcony penthouse suites which are lovely and well worth the extra expense.

Room Tip: Definitely splash out for a Penthouse Suite if you can afford the extra cost- it's worth it!
