“Great location, a good place to spend the night”
Reviewed 21 February 2012

I stayed at the Hotel Comfort inn Buckingham Palace Road on February 17 to 19. The location is great, just around the corner of the Victoria station, and very close to the station were most of the important tours goes out. The room was very small, as well as the bathroom, but ok considering the price (compared to other hotels in London), I definetely will stay again in this hotel next time I go to London

Right beside Victoria and close to a supermarket for all those things you forgot! Room reasonable size for our family of 5. A bit noisy beside railway tracks, but we soon got used to it. Free tea and coffee all day. Would use again.

Room Tip: Ask for one away from railway tracks

I stayed here recently on a city break and was delighted with the location price and standard of this hotel. We were given a room in the new annex across the road from the main reception. The room was quite small but was finished to a very high standard with a modern shower room, wall mounted plasma t.v, comfy double bed and tea and coffee making facilities. The location of the hotel is excellent situated just 10 minutes walk from a number of Victoria theatres bars and resturants. I will most deffinatly be returning, at £75 a night in the centre of London you cant get much better!

Room Tip: Request a room in the new annex

Convenient for Gatwick express and Victoria, and not too far from the centre, but not great price quality ratio. Basic services, room very small, bathroom tiny. Overlooking the train tracks, so quite a bit of noise. Rooms not very sound proof, either. Or over clean! Staff very mixed, some wonderfully friendly and helpful, others less so. Free WiFi and use of a computer downstairs, which is good. General impression of rather cramped and austere hotel.

The worst hotel I've ever been.First of all, the room was in the basement. we couldn't even opened the windows for fresh air. The breakfast was terrible. Moreover, it is expensive for what they offer you...In the area there are better hotels...

I can only state as I found this hotel, which my wife & I used for a one night stay on 26/27 January.
Reception were extremely helpful and gave us all the information we needed. The room, although on the lower ground floor with no view, was excellent - clean, tidy and comfortable. Bathroom & shower facilities were perfectly satisfactory, though towels were a bit thin!
Because of personal committments we did not have breakfast there, though it was clear from what we saw that we would have been happy to have eaten there.
This hotel is brilliantly placed for easy and local access to both coach, tube and train termini and consequently is an ideal place to pick for a weekend in London. It does not purport to be The Ritz or a 4 star hotel, but the AA has seen fit to designate it with their three crown symbol, which is good enough for me.

Room Tip: Any would seem suitable for a short stay. How long do you spend in a room anyway?

I stayed at this hotel for a week end, in January 2012.

The hotel has two buildings, I stayed in an attic room in the building accross the main (reception) building. The main building looked less modern than the one in which I stayed.

Positives:
1. Excellent location in central London, at 2 mins from Victoria Coach Station and within 5 mins from Victoria tube station.
2. Staff very kind and helpful, atmosphere at breakfast relaxed, they really made you feel at home. Nice breakfast, simple but delicious.
3. Tea and coffee facilities in room; room very clean, well organized and well equipped, bathroom facilities modern and spotless clean.
4. Free access to internet in the hotel (wifi plus one computer in the lobby).

On the down side:
1. Room was very, very tiny, ok for me as I used it only for sleeping a couple of nights and had only a small travel bag as luggage, so I did not need much storage space.
2. I found the price quite high for the absolutely tiny space I got.
3. I could hear the trains coming and going from the station - so beware if you are not a good sleeper.

Room Tip: Make sure you are not offered an attic room if you are tall or have large luggage, or if you plan to...
