We stayed here to be close to Paddington station however were very disappointed with the room. Very small, no furniture except for a couple of glass shelves. Not even a shelf near the bathroom sink to put a toothbrush! No free internet (only 15 mins fee). No A/C so thank goodness it wasn't too hot - we slept with the window open.

I recently stayed at the hotel for a weekend in London with my friends. We were looking forward to the hotel as it was a great location and looked nice from the outside. We had booked a room for 4 and was given a tiny room with 3 single beds and a folded up bed squashed in to a room that was unliveable the 4 of us couldn't fit in with cases. We went back to reception and the hotel reluctantly changed our room but the new room was the exact same with beds in different positions still no room for us all to fit in we went back to the reception. After wasting an hour the hotel grudgingly changed our room to a room that we had expected to of had with the money we had paid. Although this room size was adequate the room temperature was unbearabley hot. The window also was broken open that made us uneasy about leaving personal belongings as it was easy to access from street. The nightguard was the only welcoming thing about this hotel.

We chose this conveniently located hotel for our 4 day family visit to London and were not disappointed. We booked three rooms: a double, a triple, and a four person family room. The hotel was considerate enough to have us in rooms on the same floor and close to each other. As other reviewers have observed, the rooms are small. However ours were very clean and well maintained. As this was our grandchildren's first visit to London, we spent maximum time touring and minimum time in the rooms. Every member of the staff was pleasant and helpful. The location is midway between the Paddington and Lancaster Gate tube stations and close to several bus lines. Being only a short walk from Paddington Station's rail services to Heathrow is a major benefit. This is a convenient, clean, well located tourist hotel which doesn't pretend to be anything it is not. We would be happy to stay here again on future visits.

This was a nice little hotel in central London, Close to buses, underground (tube) and to Paddington station.
The staff was friendly and helpful, especially Jimmy from UK Ticket Advisor in the hotel reception.

The rooms were small though, but with the facilities one can expect from a 3-star hotel. Very neat and mostly clean, although I had to tell the reception twice that there were papers underneath my bed from a previous guest, which made me wonder if the housekeeper is not supposed to look under the beds when cleaning?
That said, we enjoyed our stay at Abbey Court Hotel

Just visited this hotel..............not much positive things to say...but maybe this is London?!
First the good things...............very central and staff are helpful (but don't really know much)
Beside this there is not much else........

VERY small rooms, no AC, bathroom is tiny, noisy, no free WiFI, and VERY expensive!
Staff are very helpful but have no idea about transport, airports and congestion charge!

Watch the congestion zone...if you are driving......cost you a lot and you CANNOT check if were driving into it accidentally.
By the way.....parking is free from 6.30pm to 8.30am on the street.....don't spend the money on hotel parking ....

Stay clear and try to find a hotel which offers better value for money!

The Abbey Court is located on a pretty street just a few minute walk from Paddington Station. It is close to Hyde Park and the Marble Arch. While our room was teeny tiny, it was okay for the brief time we were there. The one big negative for us was that it wasn't air conditioned and we happened to be there when it was very hot in London. There was a fan in our room so that helped. The hotel staff are very friendly and accommodating. There is a concierge in the lobby who can book tour tickets and tickets for the Heathrow Express among other things. The Hop On Hop Off Tour picks up right around the corner from the hotel. We didn't eat at the hotel but they do offer breakfast for an additional fee and they have a new Brazilian restaurant next door. There are plenty of pubs and restaurants on the streets around the hotel as well as some nice parks.

Room Tip: If it's hot out ask for a room with a window that opens to the outside rather than a skylit atri...

We booked this hotel on the basis that it was close to Paddington station and it was only a two minute walk away. The area is very pleasant with plenty of shops and restaurants in the vicinity, As for the hotel itself, the rooms are clean albeit small but the rates are quite reasonable for Central London. The bathroom is very small and might present difficulties for bigger individuals who might need to use the facilities. One must also keep in mind as well, there is no A/C in the rooms and they can get quite warm and stuffy in the summer but the lobby will provide a fan if you ask for one. A criticism I do have is the WiFi accessibility; there are quite a few hoops to jump through to get registered and also the company that provides the WiFi is listed as being in the Seychelles. Overall, the hotel is fine if you are looking to spend a night or two in London but I would suggest something a bit bigger if you want to stay longer in London or if you're travelling as a family.

Room Tip: Ask for a fan if you're staying in the summer. The rooms can get very warm during the summer and...
