“Excellent value, Clean Rooms & Comfortable Beds, Easy access to London”
Reviewed 29 October 2013 via mobile

WE REALLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL.
Stayed here with an all female group.
Hotel was clean and quiet, rooms were spacious and well equipped with very comfy beds, tea & coffee making facilities, hair dryer, complimentary bathroom sundries, good shower. Continental breakfast was more than adequate and the English Breakfast was great. Staff were friendly and very helpful.
The hotel is just a short safe walk to the railway station with easy connections by train or bus to London.
EVERYTHING YOU NEED FOR A GOOD NIGHTS REST & AMAZING VALUE!!!

Thank you Olga for a wonderful stay.

Of all my hotel stays in dozens of countries, this was perhaps the best value of any of them. I had originally been staying with a daughter but she received new visitors so I had to move into this hotel for ten nights, and was thoroughly satisfied on service, on furnishings, on food provided, and as a surprisingly quiet place to stay and found it also convenient for travel into the centre of London.

Room Tip: Simply tell reception what you would like and they will do their best to choose the best available r...

This is a qwerky kind of hotel - I last stayed there some four years ago and it was being re-furbished so I was very surprised to see that the work was still on-going - a bit like painting the Fourth Bridge I guess!

Hotel's offering free parking are something of a rarity in London, and I make no apologies for not wishing to use public transport with all it's problems. Therefore, I was delighted to learn that this place offered free parking with video surveillance to its guests.

The check-in staff at the hotel were friendly and efficient, and I was given the room I requested in the new wing at the rear, which is much quieter in this Hotel.

The hotel's rooms are adequately furnished, with all the fittings you would expect in a much higher standard property, and there was a wall fan in the room which we found useful as it was actually quite warm for October!

There is a slight "hostel" feel to the place which is particularly true at breakfast, which is served on benches "canteen style", but the staff were very friendly and efficient, and the Cooked English Breakfast was more than adequate.

As this is a hard hotel to review I think best to list pros and cons

Pros:
*Very good value for money
*Free Parking
*Clean well maintained rooms
*Easy access to central London via the station only minutes walk away
*Great selection of Local Restaurants nearby

Cons:
*Still being refurbished making public areas look a bit tatty
*Breakfast served 7-9 even on a weekend, which meant missing it on Sunday after a night out!
*Check out is 10.30 with very little flexibility - again this is a bit much if you've been out the night before. I doubt people are queueing to check in on a Sunday so perhaps this could be relaxed?

I will certainly use this hotel again - the parking alone makes the deal for me, when Hotels charging double the price offer nothing for car drivers!!

Room Tip: Ask for the new wing over-looking the Court Yard for a quieter stay.

We stay in this hotel when in London, which is usually a couple of times a year. It is basic but clean and quiet, which is sufficient for our needs as we leave after breakfast and do not return till late at night. The staff are friendly and the breakfast although served in a canteen style room, is good, cereal, juice, full English and toast. The hotel is situated very conveniently to Streatham Hill station where trains go every 15 mins to Victoria station. Overall this is a great place to stay in London at a great price. Will be back and will recommend to friends

Importantly, the rooms are clean, bathroom good and the beds comfortable. But the hotel seems to be just one step up from a hostel. We couldn't see out of the high windows without climbing onto a chair. We were too close to the kitchen so the smell of cooking bacon woke us at 6:30 am. Breakfast was almost cafeteria style but the cooking staff were very friendly. Why, with all the delicious food available, serve terrible bread, no taste sausages and tinned beans? Am I expecting too much at 80 pounds a night, Internet extra? It is handy to the rail from Victoria but the rail company must have the lowest priority on the lines.

Just got back from spending 5 nights at this hotel. Although basic I found it very clean and the beds very comfortable.
Breakfast suited us fine, cereal, orange juice, full English - - staff very friendly and helpful.
We stayed in room 322 and found this to be quiet.
All staff at hotel very helpful.
We bought weekly ticket from train station, this allowed us to use, train, tube or bus for the week, price was £35. If catching bus, number 159 is 24hour and takes you into heart of London. Runs regularly so no waiting around for long.

Room Tip: Choose room in the 300's, they are all in quiet area.

I was up in London for a festival and we stayed here. Was a very clean, tidy and welcoming hotel but the breakfast was awful... took 30 minutes, was cold and the quality of the sausage was very very poor. Staff were very friendly and polite. Would defiantly stay again
