The hotel is in a great location for the city with most popular areas within a 20 minute walk and is well kept being clean and tidy - it is such a shame that the front of house service is so lacking in basic hospitality skills. We were left standing on the doorstep despite ringing the bell and telephoning the hotel from a mobile. When front of house eventually let us and others in there was little apology, in fact we had to ask to check in to our rooms despite standing with our luggage. Not a great nights sleep as the room was like an oven!! Air conditioning was there but had instructions for a completely different handset so couldn't get it to work. The breakfast room was packed with far too many tables for the size of the room which meant guests were on top of each other - we had to share a table as the room could not cope with the number of guests wanting to use it and this put added pressure on the 2 ladies serving who did nothing but apologise for the bad organisation which was not their fault. Not a calming experience as all our breakfast arrived at once with no room to move also the room had to share 1 bottle of ketchup?? No pastries or croissants to be seen as promised on the menu. The same lady who checked us in checked us out and made no attempt at all to ask us if we had enjoyed our stay. This hotel has the potential to be great but requires a new management team to look at the blindingly obvious mistakes that it is making which could be so easily rectified if they took the time to care about their guests - a real shame - won't be coming back as there are loads of others to try in the same street.
