The location is fantastic close to both Gloucester Rd and Earls Ct tube stations. So easy to get to London sights 10 minutes on the tube. It is also on the piccadilly line from heathrow and to kings cross st pancreas for the eurostar. Also a great hot English breakfast and the staff were so friendly couldn't do enough for you. The rooms are quite small but you only spend a small time there as there is so much to do in London.

Room Tip: We had room 5 and as a bonus the wi if worked in the room not just in reception

I love this hotel. The desk staff couldn't have been more helpful, they checked me in early because a room was ready(a small double room that was perfect as there was only me in it). The room was spotless and if I needed anything I only had to ask.
Breakfast was included, which is rare in budget hotels. It was a slightly eclectic selection, but good quality and plenty of it.
The location is great, very safe and walking distance from the V&A, museums etc and just a couple of minutes from Gloucester Road tube.
I'll stay here again.

The hotel is located in a nice area 5 minutes from Gloucester Road tube station. It is run by a family from Bosnia. The owner is a man in the 70s, with a life-sise bust near the entrance with the inscription "This hotel is the work of my life, it is never to be sold".

The hotel staircase up to the first floor is quite grand, the other parts of the hotel are quite old and worn. The stairs and corridors get more and more narrow the further up/in you go. Our room was a family room on the 3rd floor. It was booked for 5 people, we got two double and two single beds. Room was quite cramped, but we could open our suitcases (one at a time). The windows open wide down towards the backyard, children could easily fall out (say, if playing in the beds) and fall three floors down. There was a carpeted floor, some reading lamps and a wardrobe.

The bathroom had a shower, a sink and a toilet (the toilet flushed hot water, by the way). Shower was adequate. Tiles on floor had black stains (mold?). Plenty of towels.

Breakfast is a special thing in this hotel, it seems to me made of leftovers from a fruit shop and a bakery. Much of the fruit is overripe, and the bread was stale and did sometimes taste moldy. The "orange juice" probably has no real fruit in it. You will get stacks of bread, fruit, cheese and meats on your table. Some of it is of rather poor quality. If this puts you off, consider eating breakfast at one fo the cafés near the tube station - we found the Café Forum an excellent choice.

Would come again if the price is right - but don't expect any luxury!

Staff is not too friendly, but OK. One of the men in the reception was a bit pushy about selling bus tours.

I paid over £200 a night for this flea pit. The room was so poor that I was in hysterics for the wrong reason. Nothing worked including the bathroom shelf with my stuff falling into the sink on numerous occasions. Breakfast was included but to be honest I didn't dare considering the state of my room. Never saw a sole after I checked in the first night and that just about summed it up. Avoid!

Fair price, basic accommodations and the large room worked well for a famliy of five. Friendly and helpful staff. Large selection for breakfast, if you leave that table full it is your own fault. Tons of fresh fruit, traditional english breakfast and cereal. We would stay here again.

Very nice area, next to the millenium Gloucester, close to metro. Clean ok, very friendly staff. Family run,the owner really wants you to eat. We took apples for snack. It is a bit expensive for the rooms but everything in London is. The breakfast saves you at least 10 pounds per person per day.

Room Tip: Downstairs has three beds one double two single and there is Internet connection inside the room.

Our stay here was during the London 2012 Olympics and San Simeon was more than adequate to meet our needs. At about US$125 per night this was a decent deal for accommodations in one of the more expensive cities in the world during such an event as the Olympics.

No doubt there is nothing too fancy about staying here but our room was clean, the Wi-Fi worked great and we found the staff very helpful and accommodating. In fact my son discovered he left his wallet in the room as we were on our way to the airport. The staff held on to it until a friend of ours leaving London later came by to pick it up. Of course, we were grateful to the staff for this.

Breakfast was included in our rate and it was more than enough to get the day started.

Also, during our stay there was always fresh fruit available and we were encouraged to partake at anytime.

This property is located within easy access of all of the cities attractions and is not difficult to get to from London Heathrow by “The Tube”. There is a grocery store nearby along with lots of restaurants and shops.

I would definitely consider staying here again. I think Saint Simeon is a decent option for affordable accommodations when visiting London.
