“Great Location, Friendly Staff”
Reviewed 8 January 2014

A warm welcome by the receptionist, common parts eclectic, made a nice change from the cookie-cutter chain hotels which don't differ from city to city. My kids loved the enormous fruit selection on offer at all times. Room was small, and decor had been around a few years, but overall, functional, clean and warm. Breakfast was crowded, but friendly service and plentiful, varied selection. The location is safe and very close to museums, shops and attractions in this area. This is a family-run hotel which offers central London accommodation at a lower price than the surrounding hotel chains. It's a good place to use as a base to visit London, returning to wind down and sleep, but if you plan on spending much of the day in the hotel, it's probably worth paying more for a hotel with lounge areas either in the room or the reception area.

I cannot emphasize how much I would urge you not to stay here. I booked one night, but stayed for five minutes. As I walked in, the police had just taken out a member of ‘staff’ as he was not permitted to work in this country. After being shown to the check-in desk by men in tracksuits, who claimed to be staff, the 'receptionist' attempted to find my booking. Conveniently place on the reception desk was the search warrant which the police had just left, certainly what every customer wants to see. I phoned in advance to see when I could check in, I was told 1pm, I arrived at 2pm and my room was not ready. Whilst this was happening another lady was making a complaint about the service she had received during her stay. Whilst they prepared my room, I was sent downstairs and given some out-of-date fruit as complimentary. At this point I decided to leave and had to book alternative accommodation. It's not a hotel, don't let the location or price mislead you, it's terrible.

Room Tip: Don't stay in any room

I booked this hotel expecting a 3 star experience. The rooms were dingy, the bathroom barely functional and the breakfast was appalling. The saving grace was that the family room had an upstairs section which the children thought was very exciting, but that's the most positive thing I can say. The whole hotel had a smell of fried food about it and the 'full English breakfast' was inedible. I asked for a vegetarian breakfast and received a spoonful of beans, a fried egg and a single mushroom. Given the price I paid (£180 for a family of 4) I would say that the value for money was pitiful.

Room Tip: Simply don't choose this hotel - very unimpressive

This B & B does not deserve 3 stars. Shamefully greasy breakfast, The rooms are too tiny.Unfreindly staff. No Duvet covers, and stains, on them, no under covers, seen outside the washing machine with sheets in there on only 60 Degrees, should be 90. That turned my stomach, Seriously needs updating.,

Room Tip: Avoid this Hotel unless you want to become sick.

Stayed at Saint Simeon for 3 nights in a triple room. Room was comfortable and clean. The breakfasts were a real plus and the staff were all so friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location for museums, Harrods and the Tube. Would certainly stay there again.

we arrived at 9.45 am with luggage with a warm welcome, luggage stored safely until 3.00pm check in but we arrived back at 9.00 pm, no problems
Room was small for one family but all we did was sleep, wash and change in it .... happy
Pillows very thin, better pillows brought to room on our request for better pillows...very happy
Breakfast 7.30-9.30, fresh fruit, choice of cereal, toast, full english, continenal or all !!! Tea, coffee and juice unlimited, the staff could not have done enough for you, I was the told to take fruit, sausage rolls, bread rolls with ham and cheese to see us through the day... absolutely amazing.
Friendly intelligent staff with good information on london and tourist destinations.
Advertised as a budget hotel... food, atmosphere, staff... 5*, room size for family of 5... 3*, cleanliness...4*
