The hotel itself is lovely! It's gorgeous from the moment you walk in. Rooms are very comfortable. The on-site restaurants have delicious food. The pub was so cozy - our table had a comfortable couch near a fireplace. Although I didn't go swimming, the indoor pool looked well-maintained and welcoming.
The location is very odd. Not sure what there is to do in Cricklewood. I stayed here because it was so close to where friends live. But if you are heading to the touristy things like Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, London Zoo....basically anything cool.....you are totally in the wrong part of town. However, navigation in London is easy enough. Just take the bus to Kilburn station and get on the underground.
I doubt the price coupled with the location is really a good deal for anyone who wants to see the sights in London. This is more northwest London and most everything interesting is in central London.
While you are here check out the bakery across the street....delicious! For a really fun afternoon, make your way to the underground (Golders Green is probably your best bet) and take the Northern Line to Camden Town and check out Camden Market (close to the zoo). There's food, antiques, clothes, jewelry....everything!More
