Stayed here overnight on business. As with most Malmaisons the hotel is very trendy with the trademark dimly lit reception and corridors. Room was fabulous - definitely had the wow factor for me and the wetroom shower room was finished to an extremely high standard. Breakfast was excellent - plenty of choice from the buffet although I ordered coffee and was served tea, even though the restaurant wasnt very busy but this was corrected when I pointed it out. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Very convenient for the tube - station just around the corner.
Minor problem the next morning when conducting a conference call, even though the 'do not disturb sign' was on the door the maid came in to try and clean the room by mistake. Apparently reception had checked me out by mistake which is why this happened and did apologise.

I would stay here again if going for a night out in London, or for a weekend stay.

Stayed here overninght for a business meeting - a lovely hotel with a stunning and comfortable bedroom - very large and very quiet.

9 of us ate in the hotel restaurant - and the food was outstanding, especially the steak. I rarely eat in hiotel restaurants but this is one place to make an exception. Reasonable prices for central london and outstanding quality.

I went there with my boyfriend for only one night (he's a musician and he had to play at a club in London)... and I wish we could have stayed more than one.
Impeccable service, very neat room with very unique settings and the room dinner we ordered was delicious. The staff at the hotel are very friendly and helpful, and this combined with the mentioned and the fact it is located at a top position (near Barbican metro station, close to the City), makes of this hotel a highly recommendable place to stay.

As we regularly visit the Mal across the UK it was my first choice when booking a trip to London. Loved our room which was huge and very clean. Amazing shower and location near the very lively area of Farringdon (lots of bars and restaurants). Very comfortable bed as usual in Malmaison. Very unhappy that on our leaving day my girlfriend called reception to double check the check out time. We were happy after being told Midday (esp at the weekend). We made our way to breakfast around 1030, placing the "do not disturb" on our door as we left as we intended to have a quick shower after breakfast before leaving due to our late flight home. On our return around 1115 we were surprised to find our room door open with the maid cleaning our room. As would be the normal case if this happened elsewhere the maid would gather her things and leave as after all WE are the guests. But instead the maid decided to tell us that she had 16 rooms to clean that day and was "very busy" and continued to clean the room. We were forced to finish our packing in a rush and unable to use our room due to this. Mentioned at reception when we checked out minutes later and was told that this would be "passed on to the housekeeping team". Unacceptable service from the staff who in 7 of the other locations i have visited are always spot on. No contact us section i could find on website either to contact direct so had to air my frustration here.

Chose this hotel as wanted to visit London as a pre christmas treat without children and also do a bit of last minute shopping. Room was booked through Booking.com. Receptionists were welcoming on arrival. Room was modern and clean. Air conditioning worked well and there was no noise or disturbance from outside. The bed was so amazing and comfortable that we lifted the sheets the next morning to discover the brand and then bought the same mattress directly from Sealy! Fab bathroom - very modern. Staff were great when we managed to flood the bathroom due turning the waterfall shower on full power and the floor drain couldn't cope! Varied delicious breakfast was included in the cost and served in the basement restaurant which had a lot more character and ambience than the average chain hotel. Only small negative would be the location of the hotel which means a lot of walking to the main shopping areas of London which might not make it ideal for families with young children. Definitely will choose Malmaison again in future!

Thank you for your detailed review of your stay with us, your feedback is much appreciated, and we're delighted you chose Malmaison for your weekend away. We hope you do come and stay with us again, and could perhaps suggest One New Change shopping centre, that is just a 10 minute walk away by St Paul's which is then just 4 stops on the central line to Oxford Circus!
Best Wishes
