I chose to stay here recently as I was taking part in a charity cycle from London to Paris and the hotel was situated right opposite the start line. Despite paying £109, I felt the room was very dated and the bathroom was small and in need of an upgrade. Many other people taking part struggled to get a good night's sleep, though my room was at the back of the hotel facing a car park and I could not hear any noise. Breakfast was very nice on the following morning, lots of choice but I did feel that the older man, head waiter perhaps, was very rude not only to customers but also to his younger colleagues
