We stayed in this hotel for one night during August. The room was so hot it was ridiculous- I would say dangerously hot and if you were pregnant for example it would be a real danger. No air con anywhere

In terms of a good location and decent-ish value this did the job that we wanted. Staff were outstanding - very helpful and courteous. The standard of the room was fine but air con would have helped (although I knew that when I booked!) Despite the many comments re the noise from trains, we weren't affected at all - the situation was explained to us when we booked in that some rooms were noisy but if we were ok about going up to the top floor then this wouldn't be a problem. Breakfast was the most disappointing aspect - unpleasant room and too small with the staff doing their best to clear up.

A quick trip to London was required. Booked Sun to Tue. Arrived by train. Very Handy for train stations, tubes and buses to get into town.

Allocated a room on the 5th floor, Quieter Rooms, lift only to 4th floor(2 more flights to 5th floor). Room fine, clean & basic with loo, wash basin & shower. Usual Tea/Coffee provided. Comfortable bed but poor sleep quality due to the heat of the room unable to open window more than 2 inches (safety aspect) Fan only available, no air con. Unable to comment on food as ate out.

Room Tip: allocated a room on 5th floor known as Quieter Rooms, Very Hot, no Airccon, little air as windows only opened about 2 inches.

We stayed 3 nights and due to the close proximity to Kings across we expected a little bit of noise. What we got was a room direct next to the tube line with tubes every few Minos from around 5.45am right through to gone 1am. No air con and had to have a dest fan on constant for 3days which I'm sure isn't entirely safe. Breakfast was a shambles & they ran out of clean knives so had to butter our toast with the handkerchief of a spoon

We stopped at the Kings Cross Travelodge overnight as we had an early Eurostar train on the Sunday morning. The rooms we had were good, spacious and comforfotable, especially the one my Wife and Daughter stayed in. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The Breakfast room was relatively small and when full as it was when we went for breakfast it was difficult to sit comfortably to eat. This was due to this room being in the part of the building which was listed and could not be expanded
The continental breakfast was plentiful although I would have preferred to have had a cooked breakfast to set up for a very long day travelling to Switzerland.
