Nothing special, rooms are small and the breakfast is £16.45. Howvever if you go round the back of the hotel there is a little cafe that does a cooked breakfast for £3.95. Very good for its location, right by the excel and O2 with the DLR right by the hotel. Before you book this hotel on any special deal, phone them as you might find the special deal is the same as the normal rate.

The staff could not have been more helpful, accommodating and friendly. The pre-visit phone call was useful and all our unusual requests with regards to parking and bike storage was readily taken on and resolved.

The facilities are excellent and the evening meal in the Upperdeck Restaurant was excellent - thank you all!

i went to this hotel with the family for a 2 night break. itt's a little out of the centre of london which suits me. you can jump on the Emirates cable car over to greenwich next to the O2 arena and jump the tube into london or get on the DLR at victoria dock into the centre.
the hotel is really nice and we were able to take advantage of the outside deck due to the good weather.
the rooms were well equiped and a good size.

the breakfast was excellent (buffet style) with plenty of choice.

overall a really good hotel.

I have just returned from a week in London, One of the nights we had involved going to the O2 so i wanted somewhere to stay nearby and Novotel had great prices and was only one tube stop away.

The area is beautiful that surrounds the hotel, it has local shops and restaurants which were useful. The staff were very friendly, The only bad thing i can say is that the cleaning could have been better as pretty much the bed was the only thing tidied up when we went away for the day.

We discovered that we could take the air emirates lift across to the O2 from outside the hotel, which was so much fun.

We are hoping to visit again in May for the comic con 2015.

We stayed here as it was convenient for the O2 where we were attending a conference. We were traveling with two grandchildren and a friend had booked us a 'Superior' room as we wanted space. A superior room turns out to be their basic room, quite misleading unless you check out all the rooms that Novotel offer. Rooms are very small and NOT ideal for families we had to wait to pass one another to get between the bed sofa and also into the bathroom.
There is some refurbishment work going on at the moment and the rooms are in dire need of this update. The bathroom is adequate, but there is no space to put any of the holiday essentials etc, there is a good supply of towels and complimentary toiletries supplied.
The children who are normally easy going complained how uncomfortable the bed was, and were very happy to get back to there own beds on our return home. The third night of our four night stay we returned to an awfully unpleasant smell in our room, described as 'poo smell ' by our grandchildren, obviously an intermittent drains problem.
Breakfast in the restaurant was good, with a reasonable choice of hot and cold food, eggs made to order and soft boiled and fryed eggs served as requested and hot. The staff in restaurant work hard and are accomodating. Children eat free which was great and they have a voucher system in place, so that you could get breakfast for £11.00 per person instead of £16.00 per person. The only downside being these had to be purchased the evening before and when coming home late with children desperate for bed it was easy to forget to pre-purchase. It would have been much easier if you could have just pre booked breakfast on check in for every day. Within a 5 min walk the are a couple of shops such as a Tesco express, which are very handy. There is the Emirates cable car within a 5 min walk that you can take over to the O2 arena, price £4.00 per person each way, children 4 years and under are free, but all other children full price.

Room Tip: Ask for room that does not overlook the main road.

We came to this hotel for my son's 16th birthday. We booked the hotel on the computer. The hotel was very convenient for a local shop. Selling food and drink. It is also very close to Custom House DLR station on the Beckton branch. From the station you can get various trains into central London and Westfield at Stratford. It is also two stops on to Canning Town where you can pick up the Jubillee Line to Waterloo. Check in was quick and easy, we had asked for a river view room in February but were told there was none available, which was a let down. Anyway we had a room on the 2nd floor overlooking the road, it was not to noisy. The beds were lovely so comfy and you really sink into them! The bathroom offered either a bath or power shower which was ideal as the weather was so hot, also the air conditioning was a blessing.
Breakfast was great, no queueing at all, plenty of choice and lots of it. Either fresh fruit, or a full english with extras such as bagels, croissants, and pastries just to name a few. The serving staff were efficient and friendly. We will be staying again, we have stayed next door at the Ibis and this hotel is of the same quality. 10 out of 10. Thanks for a great stay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Room Tip: ask for river view, but you may not get it

My travel agent booked this hotel for a business trip because it was close to the airport.

This hotel shares a building with the ibis hotel, and you can tell they're related. It's ok. Things look cheap. The design of the building was compromised by the least expensive form of construction. The rooms are small. Of course, I was told, "this is London," and maybe that's true.

One thing it had that was unique and that was a sign in the bathroom saying, "bathmats are available at the front desk." (In fact, there was a bathmat.)

The restaurant is pleasant enough and they try very hard.

The front desk damaged the chip in my AMEX card and were apologetic. But it was three days before it could be replaced.

Dear Guest,

I would like to thank you for providing us with feedback regarding your recent stay at our property.
I was glad to read that you enjoyed our restaurant I will be glad to pass your comments to our team.
To respond to your note about our rooms, these are approximately 24 square meters, which is very common for a Four star hotel across London.
Please accept my apologies for the inconvenice caused regarding your Amex card. I can reassure you that this was an isolated case, andI will be investigating this matter to prevent such issues from future occurences.

I still hope that in light of this information, you still might consider our hotel for a future stay.

Kind Regards,
