The hotel room was very hot, 28oC with no air con. Open the window and you can barely hear the tv in your hotel room (Room 36) for the road noise outside.
I thought the noise might subside overnight, but I was wrong. With the window closed I was still regularly woken up by traffic noise. The road is on a bus route and being across the road from a 24hr ASDA means that delivery vehicles arriving all night.
This resulted in the worst nights sleep I have had in a Premier Inn.
The restaurant is second rate, the food is usual Brewers Fayre. There is no point booking a table as the staff had no record of it. The staff are woeful, the waitress presented me with a dirty menu, then could not remember the soup of the day. You leave the table to go to the bar to order your food, to come back and find the staff have seated someone else at your table in your absence.
The only way to get each course to arrive is to try and get the attention of one of the staff and ask them to bring the next course, if you fail to do this then expect a very long wait.
Overall, I wouldn't book this hotel again.More
