“Ideal place for London Visits”
Reviewed 29 April 2014

If you want to park your car for free and don't want to pay London hotel prices this is for you. With the DLR less than 5 minutes walk away you can easily get to Central London in less than 1 hour.
The hotel itself is clean and the staff are friendly. The rooms are typically laid out with everything to hand.
The bar in the evening can get busy with locals who are a bit noisy but well behaved. This does not give you a chance to unwind with a bit of dinner and a quiet pint. As it is a Brewers Fayre it's restaurant also attracts families. The food is of average quality for the price.
The cooked buffet style breakfast was good quality but the kitchen could not keep up with demand. I was told 15 minutes for hash browns. At one stage there was only 3 items available, luckily by the time I got there most had been topped up less hash browns and scrambled eggs.
I have found this quite typical with hot buffet style breakfasts with Premier inn. They should charge less when the hot breakfast is not cook to order.
This is the second time I have stayed here. Last time was in the hot part of summer, the rooms were extremely hot. I was told by staff that they are having air con fitted in the rooms, well done.

This hotel is in a perfect location for travelling into London with the DLR just a few minutes walk you're in the city within 30 minutes. Check in was swift and efficient. The room we were in was spotlessly clean couldn't fault the cleanliness at all. We did encounter some noisy guests running up and down the corridor and then a group of around 15 having a conversation about what room the kids will sleep in took place outside my door waking me up and after around 10 minutes I had to go out and ask them to be quiet. Breakfast was good with a good variety, exceptional value for families with 'kids eat free' with an adult breakfast purchased, only negative was the coffee machine wasn't working only Americano coffee available, which is no good if you don't take milk! The attached Brewers Fayre was alright but the toilets were disgusting and in dire need of some tlc. All in all not a bad stay.

This hotel is that "happy medium" for people wanting to visit London. It's near enough (about 30 mins away via DLR then tube) but nice to get back to from the days shopping and have a meal without too much going on if you catch my drift. The staff couldn't be more friendly and because we stayed for two nights they made sure they had a table for us waiting for an evening meal. We go every year and will continue doing so.

Stopped for one night with my husband as part of a short break to London. We chose this hotel based on its good links to London (the DLR is next door) and for its free and safe car park. Last DLR train back from Tower Gateway was 11.30pm meaning we could pack in a good day of sightseeing.

Online check in email was sent a few days before which was quick and easy. The room itself was pleasant, clean and tidy with the usual Premier Inn decor and open wardrobe. Large flat screen tv on wall with plenty of digital channels.

All staff we spoke to were friendly and chatty. Only negative was the pub next door which was a bit grotty. Reception directed us to the toilets there when we arrived and they were disgusting. Made me concerned for the cleanliness of our hotel room - but despite the two venues being linked the hotel was much cleaner. Chose not to eat in the Brewers Fayre.

Would definitely use again for a short break - any longer trip for sightseeing in central London then I think we would prefer to be closer. However for a value for money night in a pleasant hotel you can't go wrong.

This Premier Inn has easy access from A13 (just a short detour from M25 at Dartford). It is right next door to DLR for transport into Central London and across the road from ASDA Supermarket for cheaper breakfast.
