“Nice location, nice decor but....”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 January 2014

Oh dear, even by UK/European standards these rooms are SMALL. Given I had booked a stay of 10 nights and that with only room for just one person to walk around the bed at any given time, I was desperate to only just sleep there and that's it! Talking of which the king sized bed I found to be soft and pillowy but not good for a person with a bad back - me!

The good points....
- 7 minute walk to a tube station
- the #24 bus runs outside the hotel and will take you to Hampstead Heath and Picadilly Circus area
- two major supermarkets (Tesco and Sainsburys) are within 10 minutes walk plus a great convenience store is in the next street (called Eurofoods) and stocks a good selection of food and alcohol
- the breakfast was basic. That's all. Not many choices but adequate.....I would suggest going to a wonderful cafe called Pimlico Fresh (see separate review) which is only 10 minutes walk
- the reception staff are helpful and friendly but no one offers to help you with your bag (some rooms have stair access and there are several fire doors to negotiate on each level)
- decor is fresh and modern and the hotel is super clean with great lobby seating and a bar where you can get a drink or a coffee 24/7
- the bathrooms are lovely - not much storage room for toiletries - plus no robe or slippers

The not-so-good....
- well the room sizes are really too small for a couple to enjoy let alone unpack in
- the closet space is ridiculous with only 6 hangers (those nasty fitted ones that are a pain) plus the clothes have to hang behind each other so you cannot see anything in there!
- and the very worst thing of all.....the floors are laminate, not carpet, so cold underfoot and every noise from the room above can be clearly heard! Consider yourself warned! I had a few sleepless nights thanks to the folks upstairs.

Clean and comfortable, although the rooms are small and the Wi-Fi connection is bad.
Short walking distance from Pimlico tube station. Friendly staff.
Our room was at the backside of the hotel, but since Belgrave Road doesn't have much traffic, a front room wouldn't be a bad choice.

We stayed here for 2 nights seeing in the new year and grabbing a couple of shows. The hotel location is great, it had the subway at pimlico 5 min walk away, plus alot of main atrractions well within walking distance. The hotel was lovely, clean and everything seemed very new.
Our room had great facilities and a very comfy bed. The bathroom was imaculate and complete with a raincloud shower. The room was not the largest but it was more than adequate for our needs as I dont go to london to stay in my room. The staff were all very friendly and always happy to help. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and im sure I will be going back again. :)))

Great place to stay in London, central to everything, good breakfast, comfortable bed, modern room, great shower. All the staff helpful, friendly and accommodating. The breakfast had a good choice but because I am gluten and dairy intolerant they were really helpful by providing what I wanted. You don't need anymore.

I stayed at the Belgrave for one night, hoping to get a decent nights sleep before a 24 hour flight the next day, and I'm glad I did.
The hotel was fantastic, great value for money, very modern and comfortable. My room was in good condition, had all mod cons and very comfortable. I had a standard room and while it wasn't big, that didn't matter when all you need is a place to sleep. Coffee available from the reception was good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Wifi was available.
I chose the Belgrave beacuse of the good reviews on this site, and its location. Having lived in London for several years I knew the area would be convenient for getting to Heathrow, getting the tube into central London. Also there are some excellent restaurants / bars locally and the Tate Gallery is a short walk. (If you do stay, go to Chimes on Churton Street - fantastic English food and wonderful selection of traditional ciders.)
For the price, I couldn't fault the Belgrave. Enjoy.

I recently stayed at the Belgrave hotel for a few days whilst on a business trip. The staff were very polite and helpful, the room modern (great shower and the bed was very comfortable) and clean and the breakfast choices very good. The local area has a lot to offer (pubs, restaurants, tube etc....) so the location was excellent. I have already recommended the hotel to friends and colleagues travelling to London on holiday or business.

I read the reviews before I decided to reserve a room at The Belgrave. The first thing I noticed was the lady at the reception having a discusion with a customer about the room and check in time. When the discusion was over she went back to her colleague talking about the customer (not really friendly). We were early too so we dropped our luggage at the reception and came back later. We received the access card and we get the directions to the room. The room was clean but really small, the bed was a size too small to sell it as a double room. The room was also very noisy you can hear the people next door taking a shower. And worse of all it was very cold in the room, the heating was not really working. Wireless internet was "available" in the Hotel but you better use your 3g mobile internet instead. It took ages to connect and the connection was very bad, searching some info on google took ages basically impossible.
