“Small and modern in an ideal location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 February 2014

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights at this hotel, the location was ideal, plenty of pubs and good restaurants in the local vicinity. The rooms are small but spotlessly clean, towels were changed daily, and toiletries replenished, power shower very good.
Only issue I had was when drying my hair the cord in the dryer was not long enough to reach the mirror!
We stayed on a room only basis as plenty of places close by it have a breakfast.

Lovely modern decor, clean room, comfortable bed and complimentary radio/docking station for iphone/ipod was a bonus. General ambience, classy but not pretentious. Wifi quite slow. Overall we enjoyed our stay

Stayed in this hotel one night last week. Never again. It looks like a bordello from the outside and when I got inside I've never seen anywhere as claustrophobic! No bar, no dining room!. The room I had was smaller than the bathroom in most other hotels I've had. The bathroom (w/c) had a glass door ....entertaining ....fortunately I was alone. The room had a wooden floor and no carpet ....as indeed did the room above ....unfortunately ...as I found out when the lady above me came back at 1 am and put on a dance video!

I came down to breakfast the following morning and it was a shambles ....orange squash instead of orange juice ....yuck! And a crappy machine to make your own tea with. £150 a night ...in your dreams.

I had a couple of pieces of finger rolled ham and cheese for breakfast ....amused me no end when the waitress came out clutching a packet of pre-sliced Sainsbury's ham (the sort you have at home) to replenish the breakfast bar.

God forbid I should ever have the misfortune to stay in this dump again!

No style and no substance.

Room Tip: Stay somewhere else!

The room was a little on the small side, although large enough for 1 nights stay for 2 people. Clean & tidy hotel in a safe, good location. The reception staff were what made the trip especially good. In particular a young Greek man, unfortunately I do not remember his name, but he was extremely welcoming and really interacted with us well.

Very clean, newly refurbished hotel. The rooms are a bit small, but if you'll be spending most of your time out and about that doesn't matter too much. Walkable distance from Victoria Station and close to the Pimlico tube station. Front desk was friendly and helpful.

Only downfall was that wifi in the room was very weak. It was fine in the lobby though.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a terrace facing Belgrave Rd.

Oh dear, even by UK/European standards these rooms are SMALL. Given I had booked a stay of 10 nights and that with only room for just one person to walk around the bed at any given time, I was desperate to only just sleep there and that's it! Talking of which the king sized bed I found to be soft and pillowy but not good for a person with a bad back - me!

The good points....
- 7 minute walk to a tube station
- the #24 bus runs outside the hotel and will take you to Hampstead Heath and Picadilly Circus area
- two major supermarkets (Tesco and Sainsburys) are within 10 minutes walk plus a great convenience store is in the next street (called Eurofoods) and stocks a good selection of food and alcohol
- the breakfast was basic. That's all. Not many choices but adequate.....I would suggest going to a wonderful cafe called Pimlico Fresh (see separate review) which is only 10 minutes walk
- the reception staff are helpful and friendly but no one offers to help you with your bag (some rooms have stair access and there are several fire doors to negotiate on each level)
- decor is fresh and modern and the hotel is super clean with great lobby seating and a bar where you can get a drink or a coffee 24/7
- the bathrooms are lovely - not much storage room for toiletries - plus no robe or slippers

The not-so-good....
- well the room sizes are really too small for a couple to enjoy let alone unpack in
- the closet space is ridiculous with only 6 hangers (those nasty fitted ones that are a pain) plus the clothes have to hang behind each other so you cannot see anything in there!
- and the very worst thing of all.....the floors are laminate, not carpet, so cold underfoot and every noise from the room above can be clearly heard! Consider yourself warned! I had a few sleepless nights thanks to the folks upstairs.

Clean and comfortable, although the rooms are small and the Wi-Fi connection is bad.
Short walking distance from Pimlico tube station. Friendly staff.
Our room was at the backside of the hotel, but since Belgrave Road doesn't have much traffic, a front room wouldn't be a bad choice.
