Beautiful, relatively modern hotel. Rooms are larger than most in London. Short walk to any business in Canary Wharf. Right next to West India Quay DLR station (you can look at it from some of the rooms). Views from non-DLR side are very nice.

"Curve Restaurant" in the hotel has excellent food but a bit on the pricey side. Nearby restaurants are in a courtyard next to the hotel or across the inlet. On week-ends during the summer I would often grab a table by the water at "Cafe Rouge" nearby across the quay for breakfast.

There are malls within walking distance with a supermarket and take-out restaurants inside. Very easy to get a snack, light sandwich, fruit, drink etc

Rates can be quite high during business days but week-end rates tend to be a bargain. Good place to stay on a long holiday week-end if you don't mind the ride into central London.

I have stayed here about twice a year for several years now. It is my first choice for visits to Canary Wharf.

The one disappointment is that membership rewards points tend to take long time to be credited to my account - over 5 weeks this time. Its a pet peeve for me since other US chains in the UK don't encounter this delay. Even some other European Marriotts (Frankfurt) credit within days. You'll need to be patient -- or keep your stay short.

Room Tip: Inner courtyard rooms are quiet. Rooms facing the quay or the outer-courtyard have some great scenic...

My wife, 2 children (6&3) and I stayed here this weekend. We booked the stay using Marriott points. I was extremely happy with the relatively low point cost, but I'm sure it was probably related to the hotel being in the business district and the stay occurring over the weekend.

Access to the docklands light railway and underground are convenient. The trip to Kings Cross is about 30 minutes; the trip to Westminster is 20 minutes and a straight shot on the Jubilee line.

The restaurant had a great breakfast with the largest variety of choices I've seen at any UK hotel

All in all, this hotel is probably more like a 4.5 stars. It's just that you don't feel like you are in London at the hotel. However, I'd happily stay here again.

I took my wife here for our 5th Anniversary and her first trip to London.

We got a great deal through Booking.Com, however my sister who joined us got a similar rate when phoning direct.

We were not disapointed. The Canary Wharf area of London is a great location , with good access to the Underground & Docklands Light railway.

The Hotel was immaculate, staff friendly and we will be definately returning.

One slight downside was the obligatory 12.5% service charge that appeared on the bills

We have just come back from a 3 night stay - a special trip for my 50th birthday so we decided to push the boat out! The complimentary wine and chocolates were a lovely touch.

We had a third floor room overlooking the wharf- a fantatsic jaw dropping view. The room was lovely with a massive kingsize bed - we would have taken it home if we could it was so comfortable.

All the staff were exceedingly friendly from the moment we arrived.

Although it's 20 minutes or so from the centre of London it's worth it to escape the crowds!

I cannot speak highly enough of the hotel - it was fantastic. We will use it the next time we visit London.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the water rathet than the DLT station!

Stayed for an overnight stay and was upgraded to an Executive room. The room and the Hotel in general is very clean.
The DLR is just around the corner. Canary Wharf is only 5 minute walk away to jump on the Jubilee line to get to either Stratford or Central London
Lots of restaurants neary which will not cost you the earth instead of eating at the Hotel restaurant
There is a Cineworld nearby if you fancy to watch the latest movie!
Overall, great experience. Will definitely stay there again!!!

As a couple we have stayed here three times now over the last few years and love it. Wouldn't stay anywhere else in London now. Yes you do have to get the tube into London city centre but we personally don't mind and it's still in zone 2. Would definitely recommend here.

Amazing hotel, easy access to centre of london and of-course Canary wharf.
dont' miss Jamie's restaurant near-by.
Make sure to ring before and confirm your booking and ask specifically for the choice of room. turning up late without prior warning and confirmation would mean that you end up with a disabled room(might not be your first choice) or even have your room given away to someone else ;(
You didn't think a four-five star hotel would do to you...did you?
food in the curve restaurant is good but pretentious...might not fill you up...
so far I've stayed 3-4 times and have been disappointed once where I had to argue with the manager having given a twin room instead specifically booked a double. for the at price,,,compromise is NOT an option. If I have a booked a room and PAYED in full in advnace, it shouldn't really matter when I turn up 2PM or 2AM. My room as requested and booked should be there waiting for me..not be turned away, given a disabled or a twin room.
Dissapointed/Angry yet like it. Weird!

Room Tip: Ask for south facing rooms, higher level room and DO RING UP and SPECIFY your arrival and CHOICE of...
