We stayed at the Marriott west india quay via a friends recommendation... we were not disappointed! Gorgeous hotel (inside and out) and exceptionally clean with staff that genuinely want you to enjoy your stay. Quiet picturesque hotel on the water and only five minutes from the hustle and bustle of london.
We were upgraded to an executive suite on the third floor (room 315-it is right at the end of the corridor) Gorgeous, very spacious room, two TV's, two showers, two very big windows over looking the city. It's like the ark, everything two by two, just like us...My boyfriend and I stayed here for a birthday weekend and this room suited us fine (more than fine! it was lovely!!) but it would be equally suited for someone on a business trip. Could not fault one thing about our stay and we will definitely use this hotel again when returning to the city.
Tip...the hotel is literally opposite the west india quay tube station and the rooms on the lower floors will overlook the platform. This didn't bother us in the slightest...you don't hear any noise, all windows are tinted and dressed with curtains so noone can see in to your room, but if you would prefer a more picturesque view, i'd request a higher floor

Room Tip: We stayed in 315 which was an executive suite at the end of the corridor...close to the lifts...not...

Our stay in the marriott was lovely. The hotel is in a brilliant location, right by West India Quay DLR station, and within a five minute walk of Canary Wharf station. The surrounding area is great, with a number of bars and restaurants right outside. The service in the hotel was excellent, with friendly helpful staff. Sam on the concierge desk was particularly helpful. The room was lovely, very clean, with a very comfortable and massive bed and a good view over the water. We ate breakfast in the hotel restaurant, and this too was very good. The only downside would be the extreme charge for wifi - I don't quite understand why Marriott find the need to charge for this when many other hotels do not. Overall, an excellent stay, and I'd definitely return.

Great location for Canary Wharf..professional staff, very welcoming. Like the security room key cards activated in the lifts..nice touch. Rooms are a great size, spacious..clean..everything you need.
Bathroom kitted out with quality fittings, newly finished quality to tiles and silicone..not mouldy in places like other hotels. Luxurious feel all round. Bed was very comfortable for size and linen, black out curtains superb, no noise at all from the overland train outside, so glazing very affective!..slept very well. Recommend all round!

Room Tip: Second floor room was great!

My husband and I stayed here for a week in September 2013 prior to moving to London in 2014. This hotel is located just steps away from West India Quay DLR stop; I cannot stress how absolutely convenient this was every single evening after coming back from sight-seeing with exhausted feet. Our room was very nice; it was not large but we did not expect a large room considering this is London. The room was very quiet and we never heard a single sound from outside (probably because of the good quality windows). The staff was very pleasant and helpful whenever we had any questions. As Marriott Gold members, we had access to the lounge which we did not visit very often but which seemed nicely equipped with drinks the few times and simple snacks we stopped in. Overall, a very nice stay in a conveniently located hotel!

We stayed here for the weekend and had picked it just for the location but were really pleased to discover a gem of a hotel. Excellent individual attention that was unexpected in a large chain hotel. We were lucky enough to get an upgrade to the eighth floor with a lovely view of the air-conditioning units and the DLR ! Actually we were worried about the noise from the DLR but they stop running at night and it was no problem at all.
The room was lovely, large and clean. The comfiest bed I have ever slept in and working air-con. The staff were really helpful and surprisingly the hotel bar was cheaper than most of the surrounding places on the wharf.
We were very impressed and have booked again for when we go to the O2 as the ferry link is perfect.

Room Tip: Ask for a view of the water

A lovely hotel from the moment you arrive, you would assume being a ***** star hotel that there might be a certain snobbery when you stay but you are greeted as if you are a VIP. With all the staff greeting myself, partner and friends with a smile and an offer of help. The french reception girl we had was amazing when we had trouble with our key she couldn't help enough (alexandra). The room we had was a very nicely layed out normal room with tea and coffee, the view from our window not the best but we we're in London to visit not to window gaze, so a shame but it was no matter. The food from room service was fantastic as good as that you would gain from a good restaurant and the service from the room service girl small dark hair (vikk?) was fast and very friendly. There is a very warm friendly atmosphere with the hotel on a whole coupled with the service. Makes it a hotel we will be sure to visit on are next trip to London The concierge (chrisstoff) was knowledgeable and a great help when needing to find our way within London. Great price. Great service. Great food. Great location for O2 and London. Also the magician is very good at what he does, very entertaining and again helpful. Hope to come back soon.
