Stayed here for 2 nights a few days after the hotel opened and was really impressed. The rooms were not just funky but really functional too. The "Lounge" area to the hotel was a really nice place to be....You could sit and chat, watch TV, pick up an ipod, choose a book from the shelves or sit with a drink....It feels really relaxed in the lounge.
Great location just a few mins walk from the South Bank or the tube at Southwark.
We would stay here again, this hotel is such a different experience than just having somewhere to sleep.
Well done CitizenM !!

Room Tip: We could choose our room at check in which was a nice touch.

Absolutely new modern hotel in great location on London centre. Very nice people which will make all what they see on your eyes. Bar is open nonstop, but only for residents, which is great for you, because there is no big rush from the street.

Breakfast was great modern version of full English breakfast! But you can also get a healthy food. During the day there is perfect canteen, you can take every food away, if you want. For example sushi or very good couscous!

Not for the last thing, room is absolutely amazing, you will love it. There is tablet for controlling whole room. Internet is FREE!!!!! Which is amazing. And also some free movies, music and channels.

If you like new fresh hotel, try it.

CitizenM was opened for only two weeks when my daughter (12) and I stayed there.
It is like if you stay in a shop where design furniture is being sold.
However, it also is a 'warm', friendly and kind hotel. There is Wifi all over the hotel.
The rooms are not very large, but equipped with everything you need. You will find a tablet in the room with which you regulate the various colours of light in room, as well as the television (choose your choice of movie in your own language).
My daughter and I were in London to do shopping etc. But most of the guests were businessman/woman. The location is excellent. Not far from the City. Nearest Undergroud is Southwark.
You can at any time order small bites in the hotel. Opposite the hotel is a MS Simply Food as well as a very nice restaurant (Vapiano).
I would (and will) recommend this hotel to any type of traveller!
My 12 year-old daughter commented: this is the best hotel ever!

Room Tip: Rooms on the frontside give nice view on modern building (offices). Sizes of all room are the same

call me old fashioned, but it's too "over the top" for me- japanese style room/ bed is great but room is way too small. everything you need is there, but the "homely feeling" is missing. rather have a light switch and not try to find the right page on the tablet (it is all high-tech). ok for one night, but could not stay any longer. staff very friendly and helpful.

CitizenM is a modern, functional and kind hotel. The rooms are clean, practical and you have all the things you may need and all the entertainment. The personnel is very nice and helpful. And the best of all: you feel as confortable as at home. I will return in my next visit to London, for sure!

We stayed two nights in this newly opened hotel. The young staff seems to be a bit lost, but it's just a new hotel and some time is required to get tuned. The rooms are small and I think is easier to be alone on business trip , than being in couple. The location is great because it's close to the City. One important and irritating thing : there was no mineral water and no glasses in the room! Do not forget to buy a bottle and to take glasses before going upstairs! There is no minibar, but it's not the most important thing, I did find the absence of mineral water just hallucinating. We paid the price of £150 per night and having no minimum service in your room for this price is not the correct approach. Finally it's not about paying your empty camping place with no amenities, it's still a hotel business.

You see lots of new "boutique" or "niche" hotels starting up and many are just gimmicky - citizenM is different and my stay was very very impressive. It has only been open 2 weeks so everything was clean, fresh and new and the design concept is great. Rooms are not large but the way they have been designed and furnished means it doesn't feel to be the case. A huge bed runs alongside a wide window and ambient lighting is controlled by a Samsung tablet - you can create any colur and mood you want for the room. It also operates everything else – curtains, blinds, temperature, movies, TV. Plus wi-fi and movies were free. The real plus point was the staff. They were genuinely friendly, helpful and human. Downsides - honestly can't think of anything major. Small points - there was no glass in the room and the evening food menu is limited and is more japanese / eastern orientated - which was no problem for me. There are some good restaurants nearby in any case and the location is very good being a stroll to Blackfriars bridge and mid way between the City and West end. I'd really recommend this and prices are currently great value for money.

Room Tip: 505 is on the 5th floor and facing the road and busy traffic but couldn't hear anything at all...
