My Adult daughter and I stayed 6 nights (July 17-22). There was only one bed but it was so big and comfortable we did not have any problems. The room was small so we unpacked right away so we could stick our suitcases out of the way. The staff was very helpful. We were given a card that got us into the Tower of London and several castles for free. They arranged to send our laundry out and arranged a car service for us the day we left. We enjoyed using the tablet to open and shut the blinds and change the color of the bathroom light. The bus stop is just a few feet from the hotel so you do not even need to walk to or from the tube if you are tired. The only problem was the small size of the room and frosted glass bathroom made it difficult for one person to sleep if the other was showering. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The place is great for younger travellers and business people who like things simple and quick . Beautiful design, very artistic and modern. The room is not the the largest but designed to perfection for functionality. Bed was huge and comfortable. Great range of tv shows and movies. Bus stop right out the front takes you to a tube station. About £10 cab fare to west end Covent garden area. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will choose citizen m when travelling to London or any other destination where one is located.

Short but sweet review: Citizen M Bankside was a fantastic experience for all the senses. The design and concept of the hotel was impressive to say the least. Rooms were clean and well appointed. Bed was incredibly comfortable. Pillows were great. Bathroom was very nice. AC worked beautifully during the heat wave. Style Style Style. Lobby was gorgeous and accommodating for both social and personal time. The staff was top notch. The perks are second to none.

The only thing holding it back from 5 stars was that it was a few blocks from any real action. Thankfully, the Tower Bridge and the Borough Market were about a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Quiet location aside, the Citizen M Bankside was a perfect hotel for young couples, fans of great design, and business travelers.

Room Tip: Take advantage of the lobby's resources. Everything you need is built into the hotel.

my boyfriend & i stayed here towards the end of our european vacation for his birthday. the rooms are very small & confined. we really enjoyed the bar area. ask for carla during the day & daniel during late night hours. they are both really great bartenders that do their job well. issue #1: we were very disappointed that the hotel only supplies big hand towels for you to bathe with instead of small face washcloths/towels. it is very difficult to clean your [--] with a big hand towel. issue #2: on our last day there, we had checked out of our room & decided to leave the hotel to purchase some food before we headed to the airport. we wanted to take it back to the hotel & eat in the dining section. as we attempted to eat our food, a hotel employee approached us saying that we were not allowed to eat outside food in the hotel dining area which forced us to have to take our food outside & find a place to eat comfortably after we spent PLENTY of money in this hotel buying breakfast, buying drinks at the bar, etc. this policy is just ridiculous. issue #3: they also charge you to check in early & to check out late. ridiculous. but if you do decide to stay at this hotel check out the borough market which is down the street as you walk out the hotel to the right. lots of great food & a historical area.

Hi "dniya",

I appreciate your comments but I'm also sorry that your expectations were not met regarding hand towels, outside food in the hotel living rooms and early/late check-out fees.

I'm taking your comments internally about the hand towels, it's a valid feedback that we haven't received previously.

As regards food not purchased at the hotel, it's indeed our policy to not allow outside food to be consumed in the public areas of the hotel - think of sitting at a Starbucks with a coffee from elsewhere. We are of course fine if you bring the food to the room.

While we could charge a higher room rate for all guests, we do have extra housekeeping staff to clean rooms early in the morning and late afternoon, hence the fee for early check-in and late check-out. We are always happy to store your luggage safely free of charge in the day of arrival and departure if you'd prefer not to pay the additional charge.

Our founding philosophy is offering an affordable luxury experience for the cost-conscious traveler. That also means no hidden costs. We believe in a contemporary environment to work, lounge & sleep; a room that's smart in size, and technology, free Wi-Fi, free movies on demand, Skype phone rates in the room and 24/7 food & beverage.

All the best,
Diego
