My husband and I stayed in this hotel for 5 nights. The room was small but the bed was a good size and very comfortable. We really liked having the tablet to operate lights, tv, etc. The whole hotel had a great vibe and the staff were friendly and helpful. We liked the location as it was near attractions such as the Globe Theatre, it was an easy walk to underground stations and there were lots of pubs in the area for dinner and a drink.

It wasn't the best of ones I stayed but certainly the unique with decor and designing creativity. Place has very young and fresh vibe with interior and layout. But the rooms are bit smaller leaving no space to feel free to move around which is a good thing a way that you spend most of time out or downstairs ... Very comfy beds with proper king size .. Tablet controlled room which sometimes doesn't work so well.
Overall it's a must stay place as staff is really courtesies , friendly and always pumped up with a smile .

Stayed in this hotel for 3 nights and can't express how comfortable the bed was. Really modern rooms and lobby area which also had a cool bar. Great location south of the river and in between two tube stations. staff helpful and even offered to order a pizza to the room at 1am after getting back from a gig.

only thing i would point out is not to stay here if you aren't familiar with the person you're travelling with but perfect for couples!

would definitely stay here again and quite possibly check out their other hotels in the future.

From the "no front desk" concept to the mood lighting in the room, this is one of the most unique hotels in which I have stayed. Although the rooms are small, this is part of the attraction. When returning to London, I will be back.

I stayed here for 3 nights in London. This hotel is different from other hotels that I've stayed but it's not a bad thing. The hotel price is pretty good for London.

The location can not be beat. It's a 5-10 min walk from two tube stations (Southwark and London Bridge) and it's near numerous bus lines. It's a 10-15 minute walk from the Tower of London. It's very easy to get to many of the other major sights in London by Tube. There are numerous restaurants and pubs near the hotel. There is also a nearby Tesco's and a Sainsbury's.

Yes, the rooms are small. However, the room is laid out very well and the use of space is very efficient. I did not find it to be that big of a deal. The most important thing is that the bed is huge and comfortable. Plus, let's face facts, you are in London. You most likely will not be in your room that much!

The hotel staff is very helpful and friendly. Checking in and out of the hotel was extremely simple.

The only downside was that my tablet that controls the lighting, TV, etc was a bit glitchy. It was not a major deal breaker though.

I truly enjoyed my stay here

Hey 'wmjtraveler77',

Thank you for posting your review online.

You're absolutely right- we are the first to recognise that our rooms are not massive. As you correctly point out, who comes to visit London to spend time in their hotel bedroom?! Key for us is a great bed, a powerful rain shower, crisp luxury linen and big fluffy towels. As space is such a premium here in London that's why we are able to offer some of the most competitive rates around. You've hit the proverbial nail on the head!

Looking forward to seeing you next time around.

Safe travels,

citizenMarc

I booked our european innovation team into this hotel for a 2-day workshop last week. Everything was amazing - from the self service check in to the bar/lounge areas to the futuristic bedrooms. The whole team was blown away by the whole concept and the superb customer service. Well done CitizenM - not only have you got a whole set of new customers who will be visiting again when next in London, but they all wanted to know when you will be opening in Madrid, Milan, Frankfurt, Lisbon.......!!!!

Hey Liz,

Many thanks for the great review. It's fantastic to read that your colleagues were 'blown away' with our concept and service.

Everybody keeps asking us 'when are you opening in my home city?' Well, we have big ambitions here at citizenM and are set to embark on a world roll-out over the coming years. Watch this space!

Looking forward to welcoming you back here soon,

We stayed here for 5 nights and can't fault the location. It's central to many of Londons finest attractions. However it's emphasis is on its large lobby and tiny modular rooms requires a bit of getting used to. After dealing with crowds all day, these small rooms offer no sense of relief or relaxation. Citizen M Bankside's emphasis is on hanging out in funky lobbies to chill out. not on relaxing in your room, which at best is functional with a few gimmicks. The integrated tablet controllers while novel, were slow to activate the TV. There are no in room tea or coffee making facilities, so again, you will need to purchase these in the lobby. On the plus side, breakfast (also in the lobby) was excellent and was the highlight of stay.
