Majorly impressed with this hostel. Great location, helpful staff and impressive interior design. Breakfast isn't anything too fancy but tasty all the same.

Room we had was spacious and very clean! Overall best hostel experience we've had by far!

Lounge area facilities were great; big TV, pool table and bar. Lots of seating for everyone and a beer garden.

Safestay was a lovely, comfy hostel with modern rooms, polite and chatty staff, a huge bar area and in a great location, situated a stones throw away from the london tube service. On these grounds I would recommend it to anyone, a traveller, couple or family. However it did have a flaw which bothered my partner and me, and from the chats I overheard throughout my stay, annoyed other guests too - every toilet was filthy, and all soap dispensers had been ripped out, leaving just the external casing, so you couldn't wash up after you'd visited the toilets. One morning before I left to go out I went to the toilet in the main lobby, someone had been VERY sick the night before and it hadn't been cleaned, nor could I wash my hands after using the restroom. I noticed that Safestay sold mini shampoos etc at reception, but no handwash! These were not supplied in the rooms either, which I found strange as toilet roll was provided. I know, just buy your own handwash right? Well, in a place like that, where soap despensers sit empty on the wall with no container of soap in them, you wonder why the hell they aren't seen to! Probably for the same reason nobody cleans the toilets, whatever that reason may be. So, don't not go there on this basis, but if you have young kids or.an issue with cleanliness, just make sure you take your own supplies, because Safestay will certainly not provide!
