I had 4 nights here in mid summer and the rooms were clean, spacious with individual lockers under the beds (provide own lock). Good hot showers but they flooded the floors.
The common room was great, plenty of room, seats etc with available powerpoints.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Sadly there were lots of school groups so lots of teenagers raging around.
Breakfast was for the quick with the cereal and today running out nearly every day before the scheduled time. No complimentary tea and coffee facilities after breakfast.
The location is not great for a single traveller, the area is a bit dicey even though it looks close to South Bank. Not much in the way of restaurants or eats but a good vietnamese Street food place next door.
Buses are your best bet as several stop right outside. I would recommend catching the bus from Waterloo and bypassing elephant and Castle station especially in the evenings.
