“Good Location and spacious room”
Reviewed 13 April 2014

Although this can be the most expensive among tunes around the world, this one is by far the best among all budget hotels in this area. The location is just superb, halal food available nearby and spacious room. Walk about 10 minutes you will reach Kings X station! A staff by the name of Vivian was very kind and helpful!

I wanted a reasonable cheap hotel for 1 night near Kings Cross and booked the Tune Hotel . It is a really good choice if you know what you are getting and the location is the one you want . The Kings Cross area is good for people getting off the trains that come into the 2 local stations ( Kings Cross and St Pancras). It is not the great location to stay in if you want to be within a few minutes walking distance of the major sites or the west end - although you could use the tube/buses to get around. It is about a 5 minute walk to Kings Cross tube station . As other reviews will say the rooms are small and I could not walk all the way around the bed - there was no wardrobe/chest of drawers in my room and no where you could leave cases out of the way -so I would feel it is great for one or perhaps 2 nights if you have not got too much luggage . You can leave your bags at the hotel on your day of arrival /departure and the charge of £2.50 is much cheaper than at the left luggage at Kings Cross although you may well end up walking there leaving your bag and then walking back to get the underground from Kings Cross . So would I stay there again - yes but if I was in London for a short stay with only a small mount of luggage and wanted to be in the Kings Cross area. It is not the hotel for a special weekend or if you wanted to impress someone , Also check if you have the use of the TV/wifi - it is not in the basic price but can be added in - the hotels own website sets out the pricing structure ,( other sites that sell the hotel may have to be looked at closely as you may think what you are getting is cheaper but may or may not include some of these things ) so you can save money by not having "extras" but what you then get is just the room and many people will expect to at least have a TV to watch included in the price

This hotel provides a basic accommodation at low prices. It's new, the location is excellent. The staff are very kind and helpful. Breakfast is not included but there's a nice cafè just opposite the hotel. Anyway, you can have a good cuppa at the reception, along with other drinks and snacks. This hotel is not suitable for long stays, because the rooms are tiny, no wardrobe, no chest of drawers, but it's quiet and clean, the rooms are cleaned every third day. If you are going to book here, consider taking your own bathing towel, shower gel/shampoo, a plastic hanger and, if needed, an adapter plug -otherwise it can be purchased at the small shop next to the hotel for 5 pounds. The hotel doesn't have single rooms, doubles only with a French bed, and a few twin rooms, so if you want a twin room remember to ask specifically for it when you book. Finally, if TV is included in your booking but not working, remember that the service must be activated from the reception desk.
I'd definitely come back to this hotel again on my next trip to London.

Room Tip: The rooms facing Gray's Inn Rd are quite noisy, expecially the ones on ground/first floor. The r...

First time in this hotel, chain has good locations in London. Clean room and shower room with good power shower. We checked in at midnight for three nights, after a long journey, check in no problem, went to room to find could not get past end of first bed to get to the second without climbing over the first bed. No room for two people to get changed at same time.
Went to ask if we could have an other room to be told none available and it was because we were last to check in that we landed with the small room. Nice girl on reception saying" I know nothing I am new". Made the best of it, but if you stay there and there are two of you, ask for a room plan and confirm your room before you arrive especially if you are going to be late. The small rooms should go to single occupants.

Room Tip: Sort room out before you travel to avoid the tiny rooms.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your review.

I would like to assure you the time of check- in does not affect size of the room our guest are allocated to during their stay with us.

All our rooms are of similar sizesand we do not allocate them in advance, so a confirmation of a specific room would not be possible.

I am glad our location, cleanliness level and powerful shower have made your stay a pleasant one.

I hope to accommodate you again in the near future.

I recently stayed here for a short London break in a twin room with my mother.
It was excellent. Very clean. The room was small but I've stayed in hotels which have charged a lot more for an equally small room.
There are no bells and whistles but why do you need those in London? There are a hundred places to eat within 1/2 a mile. There is a convenience store next door to the hotel and a pub across the road.
I did pay the extra for towels and Wi-Fi etc which is probably necessary.
The staff were friendly and efficient. They recommended Cappadocia cafe as a place for breakfast which was a bargain and about 50 steps away.
I'll be looking for a Tune hotel for my next stay in London.

Room Tip: I should imagine a windowless room would be claustrophopic so you might want to pay more for a room...

Chose this hotel for it's decent price and convenient location near Kings Cross for an early morning Eurostar train. The room & bathroom was very clean, though very very small, seriously tight space so you have been warned! As in, can't actually walk from the front door to the bathroom without crawling onto the bed & no room to open suitcases. The design could have been smarter. Despite that it's very nice and modern looking. For a brief overnight stay it served it's purpose. The check in and check out was fast, and with nothing included in the rate by default expect more of a funky hostel-like feel. If you don't expect more than that, it's fine for a brief stay.
