“An excellent lunch spot”
Reviewed 27 August 2014

This restaurant is tucked away in a quiet side street near Oxford Street. We sat at a nice table for two next to the window. Service was prompt and friendly. When my husband ordered some mineral water, the waitress advised us that they provided complimentary filtered water so we did not receive an additional charge. The food was tasty and well presented. We will definitely be trying our local branch.

“Good value eating in Central London...”
Reviewed 23 August 2014

I have recently had lunch here on two occasions and I think that this chain gives very good value for money. We didn't try the set menu but went for the very reasonably priced 'a la carte' offerings. We shared a charcuterie platter on both occasions, and one of us had sea bass fillets on both visits whilst the other had a rib eye steak on the first visit and a duck confit on the second. Everything was satisfactory. If I have a criticism it would be that the wines offerings we tried were distinctly ordinary although to be fair the prices were not high - by Central London standards! We have also tried the Covent Garden branch of this chain but I preferred the St Christopher's Place establishment: it is located in a (relatively) tranquil pedestrians-only street running between Oxford Street and Wigmore Street. The Covent Garden branch was extremely busy and I didn't particularly like the room we were in - it felt cramped, and well, 'busy' - not relaxed at all. The food, though, was virtually identical to that at St Christopher's Place.

“Great value”
Reviewed 21 August 2014

Went here with a friend for dinner and chose from the set menu offer. We sat outside and the location is perfect being just off the busy square. We each had three courses and the price I think was under £15 each. Our food was lovely, quick service, very friendly and helpful staff. Service charge of 12.5% - no problem if the staff are as great as they were with us. Will definitely return in the future and try out others in the chain. Recommended!

“Nice lunch, perfect price/value match”
Reviewed 20 August 2014

The restaurant is just off the always busy main square and area, we were seated just inside on a very nice table, the doors from the restaurant were wide open although the weather was just so and so.The service was excellent as was the food, the fixed price menu for two or three courses, was very competitively priced for a central London establishment and the 12.5% service charge did not frighten us off.
We came in because it was almost full, when in Rome do as the Romans, and something inside told us to try, and we had the last table.
Absolutely no regret, very good price/value relation.

“Vote for the smokers”
Reviewed 17 August 2014 via mobile

Would have liked to have eaten here. Sat outside and the menu looked interesting.
However, were told we were not allowed to smoke as the windows to the restaurant were open. They had two tables where they allowed smoking - but, unsurprisingly, these were taken. All the rest of the tables outside were empty.
Chose to vote with our feet in support of the new minority.
