This was bought for me as a gift. My friend and I had a fantastic evening on the Spanish wines and tapas course. The course leader was very informative without making it feel intimidating for wine novices. The wines itself were all very nice and I liked the notes which told you where you could buy the wines! Thank you

I attended the WSET Level 3 course which Ian very kindly offered to run for us in Herts. The course consisted of 6 full days tuition, spread over 5 months, which took place at a hotel in St Albans and provided fantastic insight to wine from around the wine with the opportunity to taste c80 different styles.

There is no doubt that Ian has excellent wine knowledge and many years of experience but his easy going and very supportive style made the course that much more enjoyable. I learnt so much about wine and I have no doubt that I couldn't have pass the exam without Ian's help.

I studied for the WSET Level 3 under Ian's excellent tutelage during the first half of 2016, and found his teaching style clear, concise, informative and highly enjoyable. A huge amount of credit goes to Ian for helping me to successfully pass, due to his willingness to follow up any queries or revisit previous course material in order to ensure full comprehension. The course format, taught one Sunday a month for 6 months, enables students to digest the course material at a comfortable pace, whilst allowing for plenty of essential home study of wine tasting.

We went along to a French themed wine tasting night on a recent Friday evening and it was a hugely enjoyable evening. The environment was informal and inclusive, as well as informative. The selection of wines tasted gave a good insight into the wines of the region, as well as demonstrating the effectiveness of wine and food pairing. Overall a great session and one we'll be going back to in the future

My partner and I completed the 8 week introductory course a few months ago, and I couldn't recommend Ian's classes more. The environment is relaxed and informal, and the classes have a good pace. Some really in-depth info on different process, climates, varieties and productions methods (if you're looking to get more serious about it in the future..), without becoming 'classroomy' / dull. Plenty of opportunity to ask questions and discuss. Very welcoming, and I look forwards to going back soon.
