Having never stayed at an Ibis Budget I was not sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. The room is basic, with very basic, plastic fittings and a shower cubicle in the corner of the room. The toilet is screened off is a separate space, but broadly these rooms do not have an enclosed bathroom, which could be an issue. However, I simply needed somewhere to crash, and this was perfect. Close to the Tube and good bus routes into the City and beyond.
Reception staff very helpful and this was tested when I need to iron some clothes - a room off the reception has iron and ironing board, and can be used at no extra cost.
Perfect if you need someone to lay down your head at night at low cost (for London). Not necessarily somewhere to linger and lounge in your room. But very good for the level it's pitched at.More
