As other as remarked before, tiny rooms but very clean, small sink and huge shower, free wifi and a surprisingly good breakfast for 5 £. Good position and quiet if ethnic neighborhood.
Definitely money good spent.

This hotel is modern, clean and comfortable. It is right on a bus route with easy transport into central London. The rooms are quiet with no traffic noise. The staff are helpful and there is free internet access.

Hotels in London are expensive and always full but breaking that mold are Tune, part of Air Asia, and Ibis the lower end of Novotel. These cheaper alternative hotels are sometimes in dodgier parts of a city however the Ibis in London East 1 is well placed for tourists but it is an area that has not always been seen as a nice part of town. My first recommendation would be to book directly with the hotel because Bookings dot com takes a whopping bite of the room charge so no breakfast unless you add 9 pounds per guest, instead book directly and breakfast is included.
Don’t take a car – there is nowhere to park – even unloading and loading at the front door is in a no-waiting, do-not-stop, we-will-tow-you-away area. Let me say it again you don’t want a car if you stay at this hotel but fortunately walking is fun, the tube station is 50 yards from the front door and you can walk to the Thames, Tower of London and Tower Bridge. Buy discount 2 for 1 admissions online before going to the UK, buy a Visitor Oyster card (prepaid rail tickets ahead), lots of deals online, because it gets expensive paying in pounds for everything and the nature of the bulky £1.5 and £3 coins weigh your pocket down. Depending on your length of stay and what you want to see there are some great deals on museum and historic site passes, but note the Tower of London is not included in the passes. You can get a 2 for 1 deal for the Tower and that’s a great deal but it’s exclusive of other places.
The hotel is relatively new and has a satisfactory cafe area, very nice people from Europe staffing the place but there is no one to help you to your room with luggage. The beds are good, the bedroom big enough and the shower wash area more than adequate. This is a very good budget or lower cost hotel without frills. On the high street there are three excellent all-day sandwich shops like the Cafe Arena, 86 Whitechapel High Street, with an unbelievable variety and selection of panini and dessert cakes. In the back streets there is a wide choice of places with Indian food but I didn’t see an Italian one close by. If you wonder why you may know the name of Whitechapel it could be because of the excellent TV series or because this is Jack the Ripper territory. Tours of his gory deeds begin each evening around 7:30 PM, just between Cafe Arena and the Aldgate tube station entrance, and guide you for a walk where he stalked and killed five young ladies of London.
Thornloe Oban, Lairg Edinburgh, Belmont Harrogate, The Old Post Office Swindon, Ibis London City. Use Booking.com as a guide and only book through them if you must.

It's a budget hotel, so it's simple and small but that's all you need just to have a clean room and comfortable bed to sleep. The best thing about all ibis hotel are their sound proof rooms. There are bus stops and underground station nearby. Very convenience.

Wanted to take the grandson to see the sights so we booked a room at the Ibis. Its says budget in the description but everything was way above what we expected. The room was small but provided everything we needed, clean and the free wifi was a welcome extra. The grandson loved his bed and honestly didnt want to leave the room during the day.
Without doubt the highlight of our stay were the staff,so friendly and welcoming, available 24 hours a day. Ibis should be very proud of their staff at this hotel, they were a credit to the company's name.
The next time we are in London we know where we are staying. Its a shame that the budget is listed in this hotel's name because the management and staff were way above that level.
