“Nice beer. Avoid the food. ”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 April 2014 via mobile

While staying in a hotel nearby I thought I'd 'go' local for dinner. Bad move. Beer was good. Starter was 'ok' main had obviously been left standing. Most of it was warm. None of it was hot. The solution? Take the chips and onion rings and (I assume) microwave them, leaving me with a steak and dressing. Poor service. No 'sorry'. And nothing knocked off bill. I won't be back.

“Great Atmosphere and Great Food!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 March 2014

This is a classic London pub with great history. Location to Tower Hill Tube Station and nearby hotels makes this a real find. Nice selection of cask ales and other beers. Numbered tables makes for easy ordering at the bar. Busy with business folks at lunch, but clears out thereafter so if you are a tourist plan accordingly, or expect a crowd. Great selection of starters and main entrees. Only drawback is not being open on Saturday or Sunday so go during the week or you will miss out. Too good to miss out!

“Afternoon Pub in the City”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 March 2014

We stopped here after walking the City area for an afternoon Beer. The bar was busy with business people. The bartender helped us make an informed beer selection which we enjoyed! The location is near the DoubleTree Tower.
