Using the "near you now" facility on the app, this restaurant appears in completely the wrong place. It is clearly not in Coin Street, SE1, but in Southgate. If you want a restaurant in this area, go to RSJ (which doesn't seem to appear on the map), which is very good (on the corner of Stamford Street and Coin Street).

Bistro du Coin is an excellent neighbourhood restaurant and worth a journey if you are seeking out good quality French cuisine at affordable prices. We ate from the a la carte menu, which offers far more choice than the set price menu. The French onion soup we both had was fantastic and a nice size portion. We enjoyed a bottle of champagne which was reasonably priced and chose a Cotes du Rhone to accompany our mains. The wine list is full of good value offerings and the CdR was excellent. Service was attentive but descrete and very warm. For dessert we shared the fondant, which was delicious. The dessert wine was also good. All in all, a little gem, we will be back!

My partner and I ate at this delightful little restaurant whilst staying in London. The atmosphere is warm and charming, just like you would imagine in a romantic little French country restaurant. We ate here a total of 3 times, the food was so good. The dinner specials (featuring appetizer, main course and dessert) were very good value. The staff are courteous, personable and professional. We'll definitely be eating here again when next in London!

This is the worst meal we have ever eaten anywhere in the world The cooking is poor not professional, the service abominable and the place dire.We ordered the set meal. There were 4 choices in each part. The lamb leg which 3 of us had ordered was only available for 1. with no alternative choice until we said we were leaving .The so called waitress with an attitude said really are you leaving, yand then rang someone who then decided to offer us another option.WE SHOULD HAVE LEFT.The first course was a salad, the dressing tasted of acetone, inedible. The lamb was scraps, tasteless ,leathery , shocking. THe coq au vin ,was a chicken stew and generally the standars was minus. The deserts were worse. Absolute rubbish. The chef needs to go to cooking school, my grandaughter is a better cook than this.
